Would Elliott to the Chiefs trade be a good idea for both teams?

Cowboys could be in position to demand a 1st AND a 2nd round pick in 2020 for him. Remember, Chiefs are all in on a Super Bowl... NOW. Cowboys can win without Zeke, but the Chiefs are sorely missing that piece.

Zeke isn't getting traded, but I'll play.

- Who replaces his workload? Pollard? He's the same size as Damien Williams.
- Which team has the better QB? Honest Cowboys fans know that answer.

KC put up 31 points on the Patriots, without Hunt, and lost. Perhaps their bigger issues are on the other side of the ball?

Chiefs are in absolute Win Now mode with Mahomes in his rookie deal expected to break the bank in a couple years.

However, after they cut Hunt for his baggage, they haven't had anything resembling a starting running back. You have to believe they can't be serious about trotting out a little scatback like Damien Williams out there as the RB1. He can't run inside, he can't run on short yardage downs, he can't be a workhorse. They have bigger guys on the team but they don't have much athleticism. They don't have even an average NFL running back on the team. They desperately need to replace Hunt and that's the biggest question mark on whether the Chiefs can legitimate make and win the Super Bowl this year.

Elliott is one of the few RBs in the NFL that is objectively better than Hunt at everything. Inside running, outside running, screen catching, receiving, pass protection, etc. He would make them the clear favorite to win the SB, no question whatsoever.

Should we make this happen??
so if the chiefs win or reach the superbowl...we are trading Zeke for #32 and #64 picks.... is that worthed? I think zeke is worth more than that....

They better come offering some quality picks.

We’ll start with a first rounder.

Always pay special talent regardless of position. They always affect winning. Zeke is a special talent. Pay him. Zach Martin who plays a "non-skill" or "valued" position, is a special talent, hence why he was paid despite position. Jason Witten is another example. The same applied to Emmitt in years long gone, Larry Allen too.

Ray Lewis and Ed Reed are other examples of players who were special talents at positions that normally don't get big pay days. Always pay special talent.

Zeke is the only player on the Cowboys currently seeking a new deal that looks like a HOF player and has the numbers to prove it. Not the QB and not the WR. Pay him...period.
Well said!!

Murray had one very good year. Missed a few games every year. Zeke hasn't missed a game due to injury. He's had 2 great years and a very good one while suspended 6 games.
As much as I’d preferred to keep Murray there were some sound arguments with his injury history not to pay him.

The bigger mistake was thinking Randle would be enough and RB by Committee.

It actually makes more sense to pay Elliott now than 2 or 3 years down the road.

With Zeke, KC probably wins the SB. So their 1st and 2nd are really a 2nd and 3rd. JJ laughs at the notion.

Relax folks. Zeke is a knucklehead and yes, he didn't report to camp on time, but I don't believe he's stupid enough to drag this holdout too long. He'll show and play well come week 1.

KC had the #1 scoring offense in football last year what is Zeke going to add to that? They lost because of defense, not offense.

Think a team that will paying a QB 40M wants a RB at 15M+ on a passing team? He threw 50 TD's last season, he's their star, not a RB.

You don't think Dallas is all-in for a Super Bowl, too?

Aside from QB, Dallas has a significantly better roster than KC.

And KC is too good for that pick to be a good 1st round pick anyway.

Cowboys can win without Zeke? Huh? Were you living under a rock in 2017 where our offense had the worst stretch in this franchise's history when Zeke went out. 1 single touchdown in 15 quarters. And this includes the dark years of three straight 5-11 seasons.

Also go back to 2015 when this offense didn't have a bell cow. 4-12. This offense relies on a top talent bell cow RB. How can you not see that? You trade Zeke right now, you forfeit this season 100%. 1st and 2nd round picks from a team who will be picking most likely in the 30s? Yeah, terrible value back for Zeke. He means everything to this team. Screw those picks.

I am paying Zeke exactly what he already agreed to and signed, not a penny more.
