Would good Murray have helped us today?

I know we need get over Murray being gone, but we couldn't run in the second half and that was a big part of us losing. The defense was tired because the offense had too little TOP in the second half. Last season with Murray we would've ran out the clock or tried to. However, that doesn't completely explain what happened with the defense.

Don't think it would have mattered as they would play run all the way not respecting anything in essence over 10 yards passing

This was just a replay of the Arizona game last year. Murray would not have done any better.

Yes, but screw Murray. Randle is great in space but awful in congestion. Murray was very patient with the same OL and would turn these plays into 2-3 yards. Randle loses 3-4.

No and stop with the Murray threads

I know. I thought about that before starting a Murray thread. But I really am curious what people think. One thing we could count on last year was 4 quarters of running the ball. Not so much this season.

Murray got hit in the backfield a lot too. Can't have a short-term memory with Murray.

Yes, Randle is being taken out of games in the second half for a reason. He simply doesn't have the stamina and looks slow as hell.

Murray played strong for 4 quarters.

I don't want to make this about whether Murray should/should not be here. I do know that for a team that wants to be physical...we don't have a physical RB. That#24 for the Falcons was a 4th round pick....so I don't care that you chose not to re-sign Murray....but I do care that you think you can hammer a team with a q-tip. Our RBs are all the same guy....they will never wear out a defense...like #24 wore us out

Nothing against you but he took the money and nobody runs on an 8 man box

I agree with you 100%. We need to move the hell on from Murray! PERIOD!

I do apologize, but I stopped reading your post after the first sentence.

Let it go dude. Murray was on the sidelines today if you didnt realize

I have, but we screwed the pooch not getting anybody. Our RB's are just average. In fact now I think Dunbar might be our best back which is crazy!

No not with the way this OL played in the 2nd half.

I'm afraid you're correct. Murray was the perfect match for our O-line. The current backs have yet to develop chemistry and rhythm with the blockers up front. It's just so depressing but I hope that what we did in the first half today can be something we build on and figure out a way to sustain it for 4 quarters.
