I can see that. Long term, they could be even stronger next year, once this rookie class gets some experience and good coaching. But I think they also have a shot this year.
I can see your point, but I would counter that a stronger team would be better equipped to handle a possible absence. And, again, the team would have free agency and the draft to acquire a better replacement option. Perhaps even an eventual replacement if they feel they can't trust Elliott to grow up and avoid trouble?
