Would the Cowboys bench Dak?

Rams leveraged their whole future for a Super Bowl win and they still went 10-7 last year. Stafford played 10 games too. They were 5-12 the year before.

This proves the exact opposite of the fear of losing Dak.
I don't see how what the Rams did proves anything about Dak, except that Dak, like Stafford, could still win a Super Bowl if the owners go all in to build the team. The fact is, the Rams did not let Stafford go, they kept him and they won 10 games after losing so many other players. If anything it argues for keeping Dak.

What the Rams did is go all in, the real "all in".

If the Cowboys don't plan to extend him, I don't see why he wouldn't.
Why wouldn't he play the year out and then choose where he wants to go without worrying about a trade? The question is "why would he want to be traded?"

He always plays well enough to keep us roped in unless they are playing a team above 500 and then it will be a toss up to see which dak shows up. Me, after GB game I'm jumped off of that hampster wheel. I just want DC to move on from him.

It's really simple. Instead of having to play another year for the Cowboys, just lock down a 60M a year contract extension with another team. That's what he wants. That's what anyone would do.

I said “the fear of losing Dak”…. The Rams won the SB because they got a first round draft pick that had an elite arm and they won the SB. And they traded a hell of a lot of players and have one injury-riddled year, they came back and were 10-7 after starting off 3-6 and still made the playoffs. They lost to the Lions by 1 pt. If Stafford played the whole year, they could have gone farther.

Nope
No benching
He'll be traded before the season begins
it would have to be a once in a decade deal...with FA looming there is almost no trade i see Dak's side looking at. Thats how bad this FO has done this situation..they are locked into a bidding war for him or letting him walk for penuts in return and money owed (on the cap)
also you have the whole "Why would i give you any draft capitol when i can just bid for him this offseason" that other FO's will surley see.

Bench Dak for who? Go look at his numbers last season. He was second in the MVP voting and led us to 12 wins. As much as some of you are hoping, wishing and praying, he’s not getting benched.

Let's suppose Lance looks better in TC than Dak. If I'm Dak I think I'd be better off asking to go elsewhere while I still have some value. Before I'm riding the pine

No I didn't. I simply said he was benched. You made up the rest.

You said he was benched because he lost the confidence of his teammates. Are you really going to deny you said that?

Not regaining his starting position after the team was highly successful in his 10-11 game absence is not the same as being pulled out of the starting lineup (benched) because he lost the confidence of his teammates. That's merely sticking with what is working.

I can't say where he got it from, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say, from watching them play.
Oh He saw Rush beat a couple of Super Bowl representatives and lead us to 5-1 only losing to the juggernaut that was Philly

Or maybe he watched Lance who has limited snaps

I assuming He never watched Dak who is horrible and inadequate on so many levels

Rush is a winner and your opinion of Lance is BS. No one knows what he is

He can not be any more worse then Dak in fact His legs give him an advantage
Your comments are ridiculous and don’t reflect anything resembling a good argument.

Rush is not “a winner”. He had a few games that the team won while he was putting up 13 points. He has a noodle arm and wouldn’t start for any team in the league. When he was a free agent no one even talked to him.

And Lance could *absolutely* be worse than Dak and has proven it on the field at all levels.

Have you not watched either of those guys play?

Rush is not a winner . . . He just had a few games that the team won . . . contradiction

Lance "could" . . . or would should and maybe are no claim at all. . . he could or he could not

I watched Rush Play and you know who else watched Rush play? Dak . . . He said he learned a lot . . . Up until that point in his career many said CD was not a #1 and overrated . . . Then Dak implemented what he learned from Rush

Lance does not have enough footage to judge as of yet. But no worries we will see plenty of Him this off season. I can not wait to hear Big Mike's evaluation each press conference.

Jerry would lose every single game before benching Dak. That's one reason Dak wouldn't want a trade even if there was no clause. He knows what his limitations are and knows he is protected here. He doesn't have to fight for his job here, doesn't have to play on grass, doesn't have to play in the cold, doesn't have to worry about learning to throw a ball away. And he's already made more money than he can spend.
