Would you be happy with a Super Bowl loss?

I'm sure all 4 of the Bills SB losses eat at them. How a team can lose 4 straight SB's is beyond me and everyone of them came from teams in the NFC East.

Exactly what made me the hit of the parties. I was so quiet about the facts you just stated.:D Felt really bad for my buddies.

Over not getting there at all? Yes.

It would suck after it happened, but it would give me another two full weeks of over-the-top enjoyment leading up to the SB. Prior to the SB being played, I wouldn't know the Cowboys were going to lose, I would only know that they had a chance to be world champs. So yeah, definitely.

Getting the the NFC Championship game and losing is SO MUCH BETTER than getting to the Superbowl and losing IMHO.

I have to disagree. There is one NFC Championship the Cowboys lost I still avoid discussing. The C..Cc.Cca.....Catch.

yeah losing is never fun but did you expect to even sniff the finals last season? I didn't.

No I certainly didn't. However, once we were there I thought we could pull off a vagiants-type championship. The Kings were better but we could've won. Blowing leads in those first couple of games (especially the 2nd with the goalie interference) killed the series. With Hank we had a chance but blowing those early games screwed us and that's all I can see now. The fact that we were not favored to go to the Finals or that we came back from 3 games to 1 to Pitt doesn't make me feel any better. We were SO close and lost. For me at least, that's tougher to get over than a second round loss.

Agreed but the effort was there for the most part. Getting back isn't looking to promising. Need more games like the other night against the pens.
Like Dallas needs more games against the Jags.

I would be happy with the season and I would HATE the Super Bowl with all my heart. It would be 1975 all over again.

No, no, no.

After living with the 70s losses, I can tell you that I've NEVER gotten over those losses, and as I see it, we still owe the Steelers and the Colts.

For those who haven't been through it, you never get over being the first loser.

For me, I'd take a couple of playoff wins and then a loss, because you can use that as motivation going into the next year. It would sting, but eventually you heal.

A Super Bowl loss is the scar that never goes away.
I agree. Winning is the name of this game. I just don't believe in moral victories.

Yes, but by saying "no," you're actually robbing yourself of at least two weeks of incredible anticipation and enjoyment. Think about it, the Cowboys just won the NFC championship and for the next two weeks, you get to dream about the Cowboys being the SB champs, you get to enjoy the fact that they're the best team in the conference. By answering "no" to the original question, you'd never have those two weeks, because they never would have existed. Why would you rob yourself of those two weeks leading up to the SB?

Is this a serious question? This thought literally entered your head, and you believed it was valid enough to put on the internet?

To answer your ridiculous question -- yes, of course I would be happy.

Ummmm frankly I'd rather not get there then to get there and not win. That would just suck.

Get to the NFC Championship game and lose I'll live with that but getting to the Superbowl....man you just don't get too many shots at those so you just can't waste those and lose.

Ultimately it would make it a very successful season but it would leave a very hollow feeling.

Considering the preseason predictions- the USA Today NFL Preview magazine said the Cowboys would go 3-13- the season is already a success.

To answer the question, no. If Dallas got to the Super Bowl I'd be devastated if they lost. As to what I would consider a successful 2014 season; right now it's the NFC East title and at least one playoff win.
