Jerry is to loyal to his players, which tend to lead to TERRIBLE contracts, which we get stuck with for a few years. I rather grab guys that were actually good for their team. Not just resigning our own guys because we know them.

Would it bother if you the cowboys lost the free agents on this team as we did last off season, if we were actively signing free agents from other teams? Not bottom barrel players, and not EVERY top free agent at each position, but some guys that could come in here and give us good play at a decent price point. What would your thoughts be on this???

not a trick question he's sold on the idea that we draft so great that we don't need FA to help this roster, we draft so good that we can get by with cheap players in FA, hell it's been working, why change. Can get us at least 7+ wins!

It would not make me unhappy. Let's say the lose Osa Odighizuwa and he signs with another team for $23 million. But we sign Milton Williams from Philly for $18 million. I would be absolutely fine with that. Williams would start for Dallas and I think he will be better than Osa. Of course Williams may want the same money as Osa so that idea may not work out. He may also want to stay in Philly because they have a chance to win a Super Bowl.
