That pure and simple BS. Mike Winicki is a Dallas Cowboys fan. Claiming he wanted or rooted for an INT is garbage.

Big Nail has some issues.

He has no ability to look at Bledsoe honestly.

Bledsoe is "good"... that's exactly what he is. Not great, not horrible but "good". He was a step above Vinny, and he turned out to be exactly that.

I just want more than that.

To hold the "85 rating" as a hard and fast rule despite the fact that Drew's rating was 86 on the season with 5 minutes to play in a meaningless game going into the fourth quarter proves that Winicki has an anti-Drew agenda (his final rating was just under 84, still a B). 85 is B. 84 is B. It's too close to base a season on one meaningless pass.
He does not have an anti Drew agenda. He has a pro Dallas Cowboys agenda. Period.

I'm giving you what I said to before the season started... before you came onto this board to constantly hype your agenda.

BTW, one "meaningless" pass late in the Seattle game may have determined this teams ultimate fate.

Believe it or not, one pass can make all the difference in the world.

Yes.
Bledsoe has warts but also his assets.

We knew going in we had to block for him but we didn't.
He still ended up putting together the best year by a QB we have had since Aikman was here.

The excuses about having a kid with upside are just that; excuses for not liking Bledsoe to begin with.

There's zero proof any young QB would be near what Bledsoe is or meet any upside much less become a franchise guy. I wouldn't pass on Lienart or Vince Young but unless we get a real shot at those guys all the rest is just chatter.

Brady Quinn doesn't rate with you? Just curious.

As always it comes back to this stupid QB rating crap.

Bledsoe has proven time and time again that his biggest weakness is his ability to perform under pressure, whether from sacks, hurries, or good coverage.

Oh you mean on the heels of beating Philly and the Giants when there were on the road and missed a 4th quarter FG and the defense blew the lead by giving up 3 consecutive 22 yard passes? You mean the game that was tied and would have went to OT where teams have exactly a 50/50 chance of winning? If that's the worst play of the year it's not that bad. Seattle was the best team in the NFL.

But it was one pass and look at how it changed things.

Thje protection was God-awful this year. I really think with a decent offensive line Bledsoe could play lights out for a full year.

Thank you for that glaring, simple, yet so often overlooked evaluation...

You can't protect him well enough... it's physically impossible.

As much as I value the QB position, I guarantee you NFL GMs as a whole value QBs much more.

Now let me ask you this about Drew Bledsoe. Why would a great QB be let go or traded by two teams?

You can make a good argument why New England traded him, but Buffalo?

Franchise QBs do not bounce around the league like Bledsoe has and there is a reason for that. He is not a franchise QB.

You are asking why 5-11 Buffalo let him go? Because they were stupid, obviously. They averaged 3 times as many wins with Drew as in the last 2 non-Drew years of 2001 and 2005 (8-24 vs 23-25).

Drew's average season:

3698 YD 21 TD 17 INT 77.3 rating 57% CMP 6.6 YPA

This season:

3639 YD 23 TD 17 INT 83.7 rating 60% Comp. 7.4 YPA

WHAT DID PEOPLE EXPECT?? Oh I see, they expected an 85 rating.

PS - Drew has started 64 straight games. Joe Montana averaged only 12 games per season. Drew averages 15 (and could have played more in 2001).

Getting a little touchy aye?

Just go get in those "Drew Bledsoe" jammies, pour yourself some hot-cocoa in your "Drew mug", get yourself some "Drew-pie" grab your "Drew" bobblehead and relax big... relax. ;)

Now he's better than Montana huh?

Hello Alicia Silverstone. You're still Clueless.

So what?
You do not need a franchise Qb to win a SB.
It only happens that almost every year some guy who wasn't a traditional franchise guy wins a Super Bowl.

Brady became a franchise guy but was a 2nd day draft selection.
Dilfer.
Delhomme.
Warner.

By all means if you have a franchise QB in your pocket then pull him out.

Better no, more durable, absolutely. Montana missed 25% more games per season than Drew.

As a skins fan, I kind of like Bledsoe. We got fortunate in that Dallas got him prior to the Danny breaking the bank for him.

Dallas needs him for at least another year. What other option do you have? Brad Johnson? Gus Frerotte? David Carr?
