Would you like to see Drew Bledsoe back next year?

Dallas has rolled him out and at times he has been able to sidestep to get a pass off but too many defenders in the backfield as we have had for the most part this season will kill any offense or player or scheme. It really does not matter who your skill players are if the guys up front can't do their jobs.

Bill has been Quoted saying that Romo is excellent at avoiding the rush...Not for his running ability. That is just a skill Bledsoe lacks.

You are right Dooms they have rolled him out...If you have the ability to replay any of those rollouts notice how deep he gets...he is allowing the speedy Defenses to easily catch him and it also limits the field...he has too many defenders in the backfield 1) because of some poor blocking but 2) because they can just pin their ears back and go...Every and I mean Every Defense in the NFL loves to be able to just pin their ears back and go and when that happens it does not bode well for an offensive line... so how you can expect this o-line to do what no o-line has ever done on a consistent bases...

Before the season started, some contended that Bledsoe was not a good choice because the Dallas OL was not good enough to make him succesful. This has proven to be true. I hope that we can improve dramatically in this area next year. If not, we will see the same thing. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. I hope it's for the best but I fear the worst here.

That was one of the reasons I gave the other was the believe that the quick fix was not the way to go and that he really isn't that special

As did I. I agree with those who say that if you can protect him well enough, you can win with him. The problem, for me at least, is that I don't believe we will ever be in a position to protect him well enough.

Line has played very poor and you can come down on Drew all you want but if we don't fix this line I don't care who the QB is he will struggle just as well and we will continue to have difficulty running the ball.

I don't doubt that Romo is more mobile than Bledsoe but I'm interested in fixing the line problem because I know if you give Drew the time he can do the job.

I honestly don't believe there is a team in this league that can either... atleast not in this day and age

but see we can fix the line a good bit by taking Bledsoe out of the lineup...I know you do not believe that...but I honestly do...

I think that in todays NFL, it's difficult to hold talent together. I think you would need an extrodinary OL but in order to aquire that kind of talent, you have to give something else up. It's a catch 22 situation in my view.

Agreed way too high in maintenace costs...but even if you could somehow get this o-line there is an even chance that poor decision making on Bledsoe's part may doom the team anyway...

The line does have to be fixed, no doubt. So does the QB.

When they give him a little time he can deliver the ball with the best of them. I do hope that Dallas looks at the QB position this off-season so that when Bledsoe does hang them up we have a legit QB to step in.

Interesting - most of the people who voted no voted no right away. It went from 2/9 No's to 2/10 to 2/11 and now just under 2/12 who checked no. Could bashers visit this website more frequently than supporters?

I keep telling you Neil. These people are not "bashers" they are Cowboys fans with high expectations.

It actually started 2/8 voting no.

just out of curiousity - what difference does it make? so bledsoe wins in a landslide, will anyone who voted no suddenly feel stupid and "mend their ways"? do you feel more secure in your own thoughts cause a lot of people agree? most people will say "yes" simply cause there are no other real options and maybe i'm just odd here, but a lack of options is not a clear choice.

redo the poll with something like:
which would you prefer:
1) load up for 1 more run w/drew and hope we get it right next year
2) scrap it now and start rebuilding cause it would take more than 1 year to fix all this and that's all the time really left for bp...

is that question biased? yep. but the last one was also. the question and how it's asked can guide your answers, ask any lawyer that one. i just find it funny you take so much stock in an online poll of fans.

He needed more options. Some who voted yes, could have meant as backup. No way to tell.

he simply phrased it to get the results he wanted and he proves it by taunting the results as if it matters OR the "no" crowd will change their mind.

not gonna happen.
