Its fun to be competitive but much rather have a Super Bowl victory. Over a 10 year time period.

In a closer to home example would you rather win 3 super bowls over a decade then go the next couple decades not making it past the divisional round in the playoffs

or

be competitive for 3 straight decades making it to the conference championship and super bowl atleast once every decade but never winning a super bowl?

So 1 year of 10% increase in positive posts (as we know many will still find faults after a SB win).
Then 7 years of back to misery posts.

Or making the playoffs for 7 years, and the same posts that have been going on for at least the past 7 years.

hmmm.... let me think.....SB of course. Either way it would be like breaking a mirror for here... :muttley:

How about...... you get to see the Cowboys win TWO Superbowls over next 15 years, but you have to have 6 digits amputated (toes/fingers, whichever, just 6 out of the 20 and ur choice which (i.e. pinkie finger and toes plus 2 more)....

OR , you never see a SB win again, and Stephen Jones sells the team and they move to China and become the Beijing Bobcats, and you have to get a Taylor Swift tattoo on your lower back....but you get to keep all your body parts

Superbowl of course….who cares about playoffs every year if you don’t win in them. Super Bowl is the goal EVERY season, hyper competitive mindset always.

Do you think you'd feel the same about all those years of making the playoffs if none of them resulted in reaching the Super Bowl or winning it?

As Vince Lombardi said, "We run to win, not just to be in the race" and "If it doesn’t matter who wins or loses, then why do they keep score?"
Seriously!!! How they hell could the goal be JUST playoffs? Dan Marino, Bruce Smith/Kelly/Thomas/Reed, Barry Sanders…..all those people know deep down they wanted that ring…..that’s why they played, not for just the playoffs.

That’s where I’m at as well. I watch and love the cowboys with hope not necessarily expectations . I’m glad they are relevant year in and year out

I would enjoy a trip to the SB again but I truly do enjoy the games week in an week out.

I don’t begrudge SB or bust fans but I quit that years ago
Exactly how I feel. I badly want number 6. But every week we win is just a little better week. Since a lot of my entertainment is Cowboy related losses make all that worse.

1. Win a SB this year, then go 7-10 for the next 10 years, missing the playoffs each year

—or—

2. Make the playoffs 8 out of the next 10 years, but never advancing past the NFC Championship Game (or worse)

Why?
For me SB, because just getting into the playoffs isn't enough nor is it guaranteed. As shown here for over 25 yrs

Need more information: is it a tattoo OF Taylor Swift, or BY her?

This

...is sarcasm?

Probably should have omitted the word 'probably'.
Yes because the sarcasm is we do talk about all the other teams and their quarterbacks and how much our fan base thinks ours suck and everybody else walks on water so yes the fact is we already talked about it plenty put more than I'd like to especially jalen hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles sick of hearing about the Eagles we get them in two weeks we'll see them we'll solve it on the field but yes that was the sarcasm part like we need anymore of that here in the cowboy zone you know the front page supposed to be talking about our players and our team and we seem to get on tangents about how bad everything is here without looking over at everyone else...

We’ve been to the playoffs 4 out of the last 7 years

You really sat down and said, I bet if we go to the playoffs 4 years in a row from now on, some people on this message board would rather have that than a Super Bowl
