Forget playoffs. I rather have Jerry hire a bunch of athletes to model the Cowboys' uniform on national TV, so he can make basg full of money.

You think it just makes logical sense that the Cowboys should just naturally be able to win a Championship every 3 or 4 years, when there's 32 teams.

Wonder why other fans think we're entitled narcissistic fans?
If we are willing to settle for less, we get less.

1. Win a SB this year, then go 7-10 for the next 10 years, missing the playoffs each year

—or—

2. Make the playoffs 8 out of the next 10 years, but never advancing past the NFC Championship Game (or worse)

Why?
Easy

Win superbowl this year

And you missed the sarcasm went right over your head and your long reply says you need another cup of coffee
This
That is probably 100% true but it won't happen because people around here think they have an elite quarterback that can do no wrong and that it's all the team issues of why they can't get back and win a Super Bowl..hmmm
...is sarcasm?

Probably should have omitted the word 'probably'.

No one remembers teams that have playoff appearances without SB wins. Unless it’s a stat that is usually used against you.

Everyone remembers Super Bowl winners.

Can I say both? With the roster, and with a bit of tinkering, and drafting, I see 0 reason why we can't achieve both things, with some of luck.

Hehehhe

So you are taking option 2, because you think the highest-rated chance of us winning a SuperBowl is to chose the option where is predetermined we will never reach the SuperBowl regardless of how many times we're in the playoffs?
In the history of the NFL there has NEVER been a team that went to the playoffs 8 out of 10 seasons and not played in a championship game.

.....which absolutely proves my point.

We don't need 1 and done for the next 8 years. That actually hurts more than not getting into the playoffs, getting all hopeful and then having it squashed.

I think a better Hypothetical choice would be:

A: you are guaranteed 1 Championship....and only one. You won't know when it will be. You could still make playoffs in other years, but you are cursed to never make the SB. So there's still so.e intrusive in seeing when the SB happens (until we win it, then u know the rest of the seasons are pointless to watch)

OR

B: you are GUARANTEED making the playoffs for the next 10 straight years....and whatever happens happens in the playoffs. No guarantees of seeding (could be #7 seed every year (or lower if they add MORE teams), but ur in the dance every year.

So then what?

Get greedy and hope for multiple SB's, risking the 1 guaranteed one? Lots of teams have gone to the playoffs WAY more than 10 times and not won a SB. And if you DID win 1 with option B, what are the odds you would win more than 1, and made the gamble worthwhile?

Another Option C guy when the premise of the OP was Option A or B.

Again....why not throw a couple million bucks for yourself if you refuse to answer the OP'S original question?
