I’m a brown fan but him being resigned is a bad sign that the young guys aren’t ready. The way the cowboys are set up should be for bland or Joseph to take that role instead of tying up $10mm for a #2 cb. Especially if you plan on keeping diggs not tying up cash in brown is important.

wouldn't hate it we shall see, i know Lewis most likely odd man out for now but DC FO may want to go younger and have KJ battle Bland for that spot this off season..wright also still here.

big ? how much $$$$$ is AB going to demand.

The Cowboys currently have about $4 million in CAP space but only 41 players signed so they will have a bit of a CAP issue next year. Of course they can get a save from cutting Tyron Smith and a bit more by doing something with Zeke too. I could see them letting Kearse go since they have Wilson and Mukuamu. That's another $4 - $5 million save.

Still, if Brown wants $10 million or more, I can don't think Dallas will resign him. But I think Joseph, if given playing time, will be fine as his replacement. They also have Wright, although he has not shown much when he has played. They could also use their first round pick next year on a CB, although I hope they use it on a DT.

The team should at least make an offer, but I would imagine he would get a better offer from another team in FA...

There is still time for Joseph to show something this season. The guy is arguably the best athlete in the entire DB room. Hopefully he can show improvement. He's already a + gunner on STs...

Wright is gone. He's simply not an NFL starter. The pundits were right in saying we overdrafted him. Funny how when the scouts are right, which they are 80% of the time, no one wants to talk about it!!!!!

Hes going to get big money next year in FA. Probably upwards of 12-15 million. NO way I pay him that. One of the young guys has to stop up.

So likely will Donovan Wilson .. will we be able to re-sign him as well ?

Ask the Raiders if we should pay Larry Brown, I mean Anthony Brown.

I like ABrown, good player. He can stay here for 7 mil and be valued, or he can make a bit more and be hated. His choice.

We have a great young rookie corner. I think he steps in on the outside for Brown. Joseph competes for the slot corner job.

Zeke is 100% gone. Getting rid of Tyron is a necessity as well. I can only hope Jones does it.

No way they use a first rounder on a corner. Next years draft will be about the offense. Oline again, RB, possibly another WR.

Holy Crapp, you've got to be kidding. Another CB in the 1st? We'll never get to the super bowl going that route.

I think Chido's contract is probably the starting point for Brown. Chido got an AAV of about $7m per year so lets say 8m is the starting point. But I could see his agent moving that up to get closer to a 10m AAV

True but AB is 29, so I think the $8M is about right

Not sure on that one. Kearse is signed another year. Hooker I think was just one year. Lots of guys look good in a great defense. Cant get caught overpaying for guys that all of a sudden look good in this defense.

I’m more happy with Brown than many, but is it good business to retain him for a third contract when you spent several high picks on the position recently? I realize those two haven’t shown much, but they also haven’t been given the shot.

Someone else will pay him more than he is worth to us is the likely bottom line here.

I think Hooker will have another year left - 2 yr deal at 8 million total

He is a free agent after the season and signed a 3 yr, $15M deal in 2020. I can't find his market value anywhere ( OTC or Spotrac ) but I'm guessing $7-8M would be his floor.

https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/dallas-cowboys/anthony-brown-19143/

7-8 would be his ceiling after having a fantasy season, which he’s not… maybe if he’s willing to sign 1yr 4-5m. At his age I’d doubt their wanting to go more than 2 yrs with both Bland and Joseph behind him and precursory looks seeming to indicate that at least Bland has a future!

Chido got about 5/6 million a year.

I'd imagine AB will be somewhere in the 6-8 range.

I'm not sure getting rid of Tyron contract is a necessity. His number isn't horrible and if they can manage his health, still a great option to have on roster. Might trade him?

wilson is a FA so i don't see them letting JK go.

zeke should net 5m. spotrac has dallas at about 8m cap space.
