For backup RB prices? Sure why not.

The cowboys absolutely MUST draft a RB this upcoming draft. A RB who can be THE GUY.

But Rico is a solid backup. So if he wants to stay at solid backup prices. That’s cool.
Re-signing Rico to any type of deal means these idiots feel good about him being the lead guy.

They would Pass on someone like Jeanty to draft another lineman with hardly any experience.

Pass

That’s a fair concern. I certainly do NOT want Rico to come back in any capacity if it means they won’t aggressively pursue a starting quality back in the draft.

No. Rico is a 3rd on most teams. He’s been here forever folks.
Exactly. If you're spending as much as your are on the qb and wr, you have to go cheap somewhere. There are tonnes of rookies that can replicate what he brings. He'd be fourth choice on a team like Miami (Achane, Mostert, Wright) and a bunch of others. We're the only team with awful depth.

Plus his health hasn't been terrible for the most part. I hope he makes money somewhere but not here

3yr $10-12M maybe more than I'd want to give a RB2 considering they should grab 2 RBs this draft. Rico is a decent RB2, so I would offer him 1yr $2.5M.

Overall, I'd like an all new RB group. I wouldn't mind some forward thinking by signing some guys off other teams PS to compete with Rico now.

No way. Time to start fresh with some rookies. Worst thing that could happen is that you lose on the cheap, not pay a lot and still lose.

He’s really not that bad when he gets opportunities.
He’s not but remember he had an injury history before we knew he was a RB. Feels like that was back when JG was here

Very few teams have A guy playing RB. Most have at least some type of committee. Even Henry usually comes out on 3rd downs. I think Rico works well in a committee type role. That in no way means you don't go after a more "main guy" type of back either in the draft or FA.

no,
He's 26, low tread on the tires, well-rounded back w/ good work ethic. Maybe it's something to consider so we don't get into the offseason/draft with an empty RB room.

No, In 2025 the Cowboys have a lot of free agents, therefore a lot of holes to fill, I see selecting Ashton Jeanty in 2025, and along with Hunter Luepke and Deuce Vaughn it is more than enough.

No. He's nothing more than a backup RB who fell into a staring position because Jerry is an idiot .
