I'd resign Rico to a two year deal, he's just too injury prone to offer anything longer than that......

Rico is a backup type. He doesn't have a talent advantage over even a Day 3 rookie, but his value is that he has proven production and knows the offense.

I would sign him for 2 years/$8M and give him 50-80 touches next season as a reserve. We need to draft a lead dog with high-octane athleticism, and it doesn't need to be an early pick either. Isaac Guerendo went in the 4th.

It scares me people want the Cowboys to spend a "high pick" on a RB. This team has too many holes to spend a premium pick on a luxury item.

Ok Jerry. Look at Detroit and Barkley etc.. A young stud RB in the draft not a bad way to go. Top teams have one.

I wouldn’t be doing anything yet. Really you don’t even know who’s coaching this team and what the offense looks like in a few months. I’d hold off and let the next coaching staff pick the groceries.
Agreed,,, which is what they should have done last off-season. There's no way MM was going to be successful this season, should have let him go and picked a new head coach and THEN decide if they're going to eat up cap space with Prescott/Lamb.

That type of thinking got us into this mess.
This team had a chance but spent that 4 overall on Zeke in 2016.
Doesnt seem that long ago now does it?

Depends on the price. A couple year deal for 5M total. Sure.

Rico would be out of this league or solely on STs if it wasn't for Jerry's sanctuary land.

He's 26, low tread on the tires, well-rounded back w/ good work ethic. Maybe it's something to consider so we don't get into the offseason/draft with an empty RB room.

Perhaps as a backup. They should have drafted a RB in April.

Rico has been the best back here this season, but we're still 30th in rushing. I know McCarthy doesn't know how to consistently run the ball, but next draft is supposed to be a good class and I rather explore drafting a guy or 2. Not that I'm opposed to bringing Rico back, but it's probably more of a 1 year deal as a backup. Need to find a more explosive player that teams have to account for.

While the rest of us accepted that Dak would be Dak and play the way Dak plays,
Dak lovers will be hating on every move Rush makes, and if he wins they'll say the defense stepped up their game.
And if Rush struggles they'll be in their glory.
Because all they ever cared about was Dak.

Why would you give someone a 3/10m contract that you can resign for league minimum?

Detroit was already loaded when they drafted Gibbs. They have literally the best offensive line in the league. The Cowboys O-line is bottom 5.
And they still took him high. So your saying Gibbs and Montgomery are Zeek and Rico with a better line?? Ok
