Would You sign Tony Pollard to a long-term deal for less than $10M Per Year?

Pollard would have to prove he's 100% past this last injury to even start negotiations.

If it was that concerning, the Cowboys would not have even franchise tagged the guy...

Who do you know that has a existing high ankle sprain going well into the very next season ?

And the fibula break did not even required surgical screws to help mend.

It's still amazing how you guys are so persistent in trying to make Pollard six times more hurt than what he really was. ..lol :muttley:

The price to pay for Zeke’s “ bad” contract was because Garrett beat him down and wore him out at the since he entered the NFL in 2016, and did not let up until Garrett, Kellen and Zeke were all gone departed from Cowboys.

ZKE earned that 2nd contract with leading the NFL in rushing twice.

Not every player can be Emmitt Smiith or Adrian Peterson (even post ACL) and take such pounding toll

And even when we had Pollard as a backup, there were times over when those coaches did not trust Pollard and wanted to rely 100% on zeke to be on the field at all times . Who knows what led to Elliott tapping his head out

Miles Sanders signed a 4 year, $24M deal with the Panthers. I'd happily offer Pollard that or a little better.

I think those two backs are pretty comparable, both in terms of skillset and sort of career arc. Pollard is the better runner.

In other words, if he was willing to accept a three-year $7-8M per........

Mailbag: Will RB Pushback Affect Pollard Deal?

_With Saquon Barkley threatening to sit out and Dalvin Cook looking for a "significant contract," there seems to be some pushback among NFL running backs about their perceived lack of value. Do you think this affects the Cowboys working out a multi-year contract with Tony Pollard? Are we looking at a one-and-done season for him and the team? _– Tony Washington/San Diego, CA
Nick Eatman:
Can't say I've really thought of it that way, but you're not wrong. That's how things in the league usually work. Agents know what other agents are doing and teams know what other teams are doing. Therefore, running backs probably know what other backs are doing, and certainly, what they're getting paid. But honestly, I think the only way the Cook and Barkley situations – which are obviously very different – would affect Pollard, would be in the Cowboys' favor

This is a great question. If salary cap wasn’t an issue absolutely. Pollard is a good player and a good guy that you’d love to have retire as a Cowboy. The issue is the cap and the RB position. At 27 he is nearing the end hence you can’t sign him. Certainly at a level that he would deserve to be paid. So it’s a no from me.

Before I would commit to Pollard past this season I want to see him play after the injury. We have him locked up for the season let’s see if he returns to form.
