Its the offseason so lets kill some time. If someone gave you 1 million dollars but you could never watch football again. No NFL, no college no nothing. Not even so much as a pregame or postgame show. Would you do it? What about 5 million? Any price?

I couldnt do it I love Football too much and there is no way I could not watch the cowboys.. without football I could not be happy I dont care how much I would get now if it was baseball or basketball I might be able to do it:)

Life is too short to give up one of my true loves. Only thing I'd give up my Cowboys for would be the life of my sons.

millions not enough. thats not really that much money. you'd still have to work, and then what..you're a working stiff with nothing to look forward to. for $5 million? well alright then, i'd just become a huge uhh kickboxing fan or something.

A little back story.

It was my wedding day back in 95. The wife was with her parents at the church a couple hours before. I was at my parents house while they were getting ready and my relatives were getting ready.

My Mom says...You better get ready we gotta get to the church here in a little bit. I had planned on being there early...only one problem. The first or second game of the preseason was on TV. I had missed football from the long offseason. I can not even remember if it was a cowboys game being played but I think it was. Gotta remember this is back in 95 and my memory is fuzzy.

I told my parents I will get ready when the half time starts as some of the starters were still playing.:laugh2:

So half time starts, I get my stuff on and we head out to the church.

Now I still had plenty of time before the wedding started but my wife's parents told me the wife was freaking out because she expected me there an hour earlier:laugh2:

I told her...hey when we first started dating I told you I was a football nut. She understood but with one of those looks like...you got to be kidding me.

Now with that back story in place.

Would I take the money?

I would have to, because as much as I love football, in the end I still have to look out for the wife and I. If I was well off financially it might be different. But family is more important than football no matter how important football is to me.

If there was a football fans anonymous the story above is the one I picture being told.

1 Mill? No way! Now if it was 656564 Billion then yes I'd do it. I would then bribe Jerry into selling me the Cowboys. I could then watch my Cowboys from the sidelines...Or is that against the rules of this deal?

I'd do it for 5 and as much as I love football. I'd have a tough time turning down 1 million.

With 1 million the wife could quit work we could renovate the house, pay it off, top off the kids college fund and max out my 401K contributions, without any hit to our lifestyle.... geesh I might even be productive from July through Febuary. I'd so dearly miss football though.... I'd have to do it, and I'm sad admitting that.

Absolutely not. Money is really nice but it just doesn't mean that much to me by itself.

However, I am just 22 with no family to support. Priorities change. :D

But right now? The thought of giving up the Cowboys for life makes me feel like crying.

I'd try to hold out for higher, but for $1 million I would. $1 million is a life changing event, I've got other interests and priorities in my life.

I'd take the million, then let them try to get the money back as I'm sitting in my box in the new stadium. :laugh2:

So what happens if we are watching Espn, watching the Lakers game and highlights pop up what should I do leave the room..... But give me the money and a radio I'll be good to go..... then again I could take the money and leave the country with the family and get satelite TV in Europe somewhere.....

For one million dollars I would become a Commander fan, I would even wear the pig outfit...Come on Football is great but Money is money.

Pay off the house, Pay off the cars and invest the rest..There are tons of stuff besides watching football that I already do.

EASY question.

Reality check here! $1 million won't get you a box at the new stadium. You might want to check the prices again.

I've been watching and loving the Cowboys since 1967...I'm addicted, and nothing could make me turn against them, no hiring, no firing, no crimes, nothing........

HOwever, I'd sacrifice one of the only things that bring me joy for a million dollars. I'm a high school English teacher paying for two children in college without any help from their mom. My son is a sophomore at JMU, and my daughter is in graduate school at the Manhattan School of Music and has another year. My daughter's loan just for tuition this year was 29,000.

I could change their lives and my family's debt with a million dollars, so I'd give up the Cowboys for that, but I don't think I'd live as long in such a joyless existance...I guess I'd have to play more golf. :)
