#28, #22, anywhere you can get him. I'd take a chance on him. He was the #1 back coming out of high school (per Rivals) and he's done nothing to dissuade me.

I agree with David's point on caution with spread guys. Years of seeing defenses out of that particular formation is a lot different than the one-back or I-form, it can shade how you see the game. I assume. What am I, a college running back? The answer is no for those who've never met me. Which is all of you.

For the most part I think Oregon's use of it was largely based on their QB situation. Stewart could do it, Dixon was brilliant at it, they weren't going to out-talent USC in the PAC-10. They were still a good team talent-wise, unlike a lot of the lesser lights of college football that run a spread which might contribute a lot to not having any backs to speak of emerge from such an offense. OU didn't run it too much when AD was there because it generally went terribly with him in. And what are you going to do, keep him off the field? Thus he was a one-back and I-form performer. The spread highlights for him are nearly none existent.

Long way of saying I wouldn't play absolutes with offenses colleges choose to run and the players in a draft. They play the hand they're dealt, the NFL coaches do the same.
