Would you trade Leary for a RB?

if Collins and Gibson are the real deal and no injuries happen in TC. Would you call Seattle or Miami and say lets make a deal? I think at this point I'm leaning to doing it..

really depends on the rb you are getting back. Leary for Lamar miller? probably if they aren't confident in randle. leary for christine michael? nope.

Nope. Would rather have solid OL depth and competition than a middle of the road RB. To channel Jerry, there are 500 RBs who can get 1,000 yards behind a solid offensive line. To look at the flip side, how many years did we fail to have a 1,000 yard rusher behind some of those dog lines post-Emmitt?

Worst case you look at roster cuts late in the preseason or sign a street vet after week 1.

Why don't we trade Dez and Randle to the Eagles for Murray. Besides Lynch, he is the only real option.

No chance.

I would be more than willing to trade for certain running backs, but I'm not giving up Leary and risking the cohesion of my strongest unit for anyone's backup running back.

No, but I would consider trading him for a future draft pick if things pan out as you suggested.

I wouldn't want to trade a starting OL for a backup running back. The best backup RB out there is probably CJ spiller or Ryan Mathews and both were available as free agents and are being traded.

Absolutely not unless its Peterson or Jamall Charles and I don't think we want to pay a RB so it aint happening.

I want Leary to get signed long term.

And what exactly would Leary be doing? He'd either be a starter at guard or on the bench behind Collins. Collins, as many have told you, is a guard in the NFL. Leary is gone after this year.

It'd be a bad trade for us if it was for one of their backups, and a bad trade for them (that they'd never do) if it was for Lynch or Miller.

I would not sign Leary long term. That knee is scary. He is good but that knee wont last long

We have no medical info about that knee so who knows.

Also we could make the contract favorable to us because of that knee.

Now if he is going to get 7 mill a year then i'll pass on the guy but 3.5-5.5 mill a year.. I want him for around that. He is a juggernaut in the run game and I don't want to lose that.

I don't know if Collins could ever beat out Leary TBH.. Just don't think he has the power that LEary has to move the big guys like LEary does.

Collins could be a really good guard. I just like Leary better.

I wish we would get Collins at RT but it looks like the Cowboys plan on using Weems/Green as the Future RT and Collins as the future LG.

Sure. I would trade him straight up for Todd Gurley.

I would trade him for Adrian Peterson if the Vikings would pay half of Peterson's salary.

Yes, on Seattle. Straight up for Marshawn Lynch.

We gave Collins some work at tackle and he didn't look very good. Not surprising.

Teams get in trouble when they are not willing to trade players. However there are times to trade and times not to trade and the first week of training camp is a time not to trade
