And loyal. You have to admit, he is persistent.
And loyal. You have to admit, he is persistent.
The team does. There isn't really a simple answer. The failure of this team goes beyond 1 player. No point in paying any non elite QB if they then fail to put enough around him including on defense. So would I pay Dak to stay, at the right price of 25 maybe 30 a year. Another big question is what would it cost to retain trey lance? Does this team have the guts to ride 1 year with Lance to see what he can do and be willing to lose games if they decide to move from Dak?
I remember reading your posts back in the day calling Romo a choker. The Packers were playing like crap, they were coming off a loss to the Giants. They were riding a 3 game winning streak when we faced them. They were great against us and we played our worst game of the season. We’re a terrible playoff team.
Except in the playoffs. Jerry obviously accepts that as he refuses to do anything about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The team does.
But Jerry doesn't. Say what you will about him, he doesn't like losing any more than anybody else on this site does.
He went 5-1 because we had a running game and a pass rush that was on pace to break the 84 Bears sack record. Where were you? We never gave up more than 17 points but we couldn’t score more than 20. We had no passing game with Rush. The guy is an average QB who no one picked up when we released him for a couple of weeks. lol We won games with our kicker and defense. When Dak returned we became the highest scoring offense in the league. Some of you who keep mentioning Cooper Rush’s 5-1 record a couple of years ago don’t have a clue if you think he would propel us in the playoffs.Cooper Rush went 5-1 with this team.
We are the carbon copy of the Kansas City Chiefs the year they drafted Patrick Mahomes.
The Chiefs had gone to 3 straight playoff appearances with Alex Smith when they decided to trade up to draft Patrick Mahomes.
Alex Smith playoff record is the same as Dak. 2-5
Romo had a lot more turnovers than Dak, especially untimely turnovers. The teams under Dak choke especially the defense.I remember reading your posts back in the day calling Romo a choker.
If Romo was a choker what is Dak?
Now, you are asking the right question. Resounding NO!You trust him with the ball in another playoff game?
You do realize the rest goes into 2025 fleecing isn’t hard enough Jerry got screwed and now Dak got Jerry by the short hairs. Dumbest contract in football history for a loser QB. It will get worse as Jerry will extend choke boy because he won’t admit he screwed up so bad. This is not true, it is as 25M cap hit and 35M savings with a post June 1 cut... everyone saying Todd France fleeced us is just recycling their own unresearched information.

Playoff Dak has more turnovers, go look for yourself.Romo had a lot more turnovers than Dak. The teams under Dak choke especially the defense.
And that's the crux of the matter. The Cowboys have been a terrible playoff team the past 20 years regardless their QB.
True.Playoff Dak has more turnovers, go look for yourself.
In every playoff game with Romo except the vikings, we were in it all game from the start.
With Dak, as bob sturm tweeted, we have gone into the half of all 5 playoff losses trailing by at last 14 and with Dak throwing less than 100 yards in all of them.
It's always the same story with Dak, show up deer eyed, sail balls, go behind and when the game is out of hand, get your stats with check downs against prevent defense.
If you count elimination games which are like playoff games Romo has 6 INTs. In the playoffs he had 2 INTs and 8 fumbles. Dak only has one playoff fumble. Dak has played in one more playoff game than Romo. Dak has 14 TD passes in the playoffs compared to 8 for Romo.Playoff Dak has more turnovers, go look for yourself.

Nooooooo, by far not the dumbest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think you forgot Peepeeslap and Slowroll Jones!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!You do realize the rest goes into 2025 fleecing isn’t hard enough Jerry got screwed and now Dak got Jerry by the short hairs. Dumbest contract in football history for a loser QB. It will get worse as Jerry will extend choke boy because he won’t admit he screwed up so bad.
They both sucked in the postseason. Arguments on who was guilty of the most suckage are weird. If you count elimination games which are like playoff games Romo has 6 INTs. In the playoffs he had 2 INTs and 8 fumbles. Dak only has one playoff fumble. Dak has played in one more playoff game than Romo. Dak has 14 TD passes in the playoffs compared to 8 for Romo.
I agree. Both QBs weren't good enough.True.
But the bottom line is still neither of them had great playoff success. Arguing about who was worse or who had the better teams to play with, etc. is just pointless...
Did you see Jerry's interview after the game?Except in the playoffs. Jerry obviously accepts that as he refuses to do anything about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We’ve had terrible playoff teams with Romo and Dak. Every QB we’ve had since Troy Aikman has struggled in the playoffs because of the teams around them. Our playoff defenses have been awful! And that's the crux of the matter.
It's just amazes me how people fixiate on Dak as the sole problem for not winning more playoff games. We've had Romo, Bledsoe (who took a team to the SB), Quincy Carter, and on and on. NONE of those quarterbacks won a SB or had multiple playoff wins in a season.
The problem is one JERRY JONES. Until he's out of the picture, nothing, I repeat NOTHING will change. You could clone Staubach and Aikman combined and Dallas would still not win a SB....
I seriously just cannot accept what he's doing as "trying".Did you see Jerry's interview after the game?
The best phrase to describe his demeanor is "shell shocked". He really, truly believed he was going to have playoff success in this game. As far as "refusing" to do anything about it, he's changed coaches, OCs, DCs. He's trying, I'll give him that.
He's just not willing to give up enough control to win....
They're the same QB.I agree. Both QBs weren't good enough.
The poster I tagged is defending Dak but he didn't show the same support when Romo was here.
He constantly called Romo a choker.
Which, he was...
