After a two day cool down period I say Dak is back one more year if only because of the cap hit short term and long term. Give him one chance under a new coaching staff and a different philosophy. Get a better o-line coach in here and run the ball like we did in Zeke's prime. See if we can recapture some of that 2016 season magic.

Bottom line is things cannot stay the same. Either some or all the coaches go or Dak goes. Given the fact this team is historically scared to start over at QB I think Dak is safe, at least for the short term.
To me it's keep everyone or get rid of everyone. Meaning coaching staff and Dak

This is what I struggle with to be honest. As bad as Sunday was it was one game. This team has gone 12-5 three years in a row before failing when it counts the most.

Dallas can blow it all up and it could work in their favor; or it could result in a decade of misery worse that the Garrett era.

If Dak is released, he has a $60 million cap hit whether we keep him or release him.
Therefore, the Cowboys want to sign him to an extension to prevent that big of a hit.
Going into the Playoffs, it was almost guaranteed that he was going to get Top of the Market salary.
Now, with his disastrous performance, there is no way the Cowboys can justify paying him that nor any where near the $50 million range.
His last contract averaged $40 million a year. In those 4 years he has 1 playoff Wild Card win.
So, do you let Dak play his last year and absorb the $60 million cap hit?
Give him an a $50 Million+ extension?
Would you like him to resign but only on a sub $50 million deal?
Dak doesn't have much leverage for a trade because no team can justify to their fanbase giving Dak a premium deal.
But the Cowboys don't have much leverage either given the Cap hit.
The Cowboys fanbase will be irate if he gives Dak a premium deal which would hamper the team for the next few years.
No I hate him

I don't think Jerry will want to start over. If They don't want Dak anymore, I see the Head coach going as well. They would start over and probably go after Belichick. I really don't think it was all Dak's fault. Even with all the INTs against GB the entire team came out flat at home. It was pathetic almost like a trap game they just looked right by GB.

Nope. Trade him, sit him or cut him post June. He can't be counted on in the games with good teams.

OR:

Suffer this same fate for another 8 years.

Dak and the rest of the Cowboys will be watching Mayfield next weekend because his team played a lot better than ours, especially his defense. They were playing a Philly team that had fallen apart. The Bucs looked a lot more excited about the playoffs than the Cowboys who were the only home team during the wildcard round to lose. Those of you who think the Cowboys would have beaten GB with Mayfield can’t be taken seriously. The Cowboys have been a terrible playoff team the past 20 years regardless their QB.
Baker Mayfield threw for 381 4TDs 0 Ints and a perfect QB rating against this Pack defense three weeks ago.

Dak on the other hand, has done this in the playoffs including crapping himself against a bad Packer D...

Progress stopper. Got to go. Keeping him only delays us from getting a QB that can get the job done.
Whether that takes 1 year or 10 years nobody can know, but you're guaranteed to delay that timeline by keeping him.

Your criteria at QB has to be performance only, not whether you can get a bargain.

Dak has to be traded. He is to good to be released but has not done anything in the playoffs that you can bring it back. What you hope is Atlanta signs Bill as their coach then maybe they would then trade for Dak. I think he would lift his no trade clause for that situation.

This is a real problem! I think with each and every playoff game Dak is becoming more broken mentally. These players around him all see that and there is frustration setting in. The defense was bad but has every player in the locker room list confidence in Dak. I truly believe McCarthy isn't as much of the problem as Dak is. I just feel were in for more of the same and how do you sell it to players that were never gonna make a SB with this guy but just play your guts out for him. To me I just think Dak is mentally checked out and his own players won't respect him anymore.

The Packers were playing like crap, they were coming off a loss to the Giants. They were riding a 3 game winning streak when we faced them. They were great against us and we played our worst game of the season. We’re a terrible playoff team.

Not sub 50, sub 30

If Dak wants to re-up for 30 mil/season, fine. If not let him walk. Is that realistic? Absolutely.
