Absolutely not , KM can 'learn on the job' with another team.

That Garrett experiment destroyed the cowboys culture for 10 years , & also destroyed elite players' carreers .

IF kellen is succesful elsewhere as HC , he will come running back to dallas for the biggest check ever .

Someone the other day posted a picture of the Jones, Garrett, Romo and Witten families all on vacation together and stated how pissed they were on how much it ruined our team’s culture and accountability. I hope that person and anyone else who voted ‘yes’ understand how much of the ‘undermine culture’ you continue to support for the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. You can tell by the sound bites and interviews, the only coordinator here who is on the same respect level as Big Mike from the PLAYERS is Quinn. If something crazy like this were to happen, Moore is seen as Jerry’s Boy and you get Garrett 2.0. Let Moore grow on his own and be his own man. IMO, mentoring under Big Mike has only helped him. McCarthy was once the boy wonder offensive genius QB guru too.

So let’s say we win a SB this year.

We would want to fire a 2 time SB winning HC who has won with 2 different teams?

Sounds like what happened in the 90’s all over again.

Even if we go far into the playoffs and not win the SB, we should not change our HC hierarchy for Kellen Moore.

Another draft with MM, Quinn and an off-season with FA’s like this season and I can’t see how anyone can say get rid of McCarthy.

Other than Dallas, what kind of staff would Moore be able to build?

If Moore himself was smart he would learn something from Josh McDaniels going out there to soon and get paid top dollar from Jerry anyway with a team that could be competing at the top level for another 3 to 4 years.

Couldn’t have said it any better regarding MM and Moore.

Moore gets some credit regarding Dak because they have cohesion but let’s not forget that Dak never looked this good until last season and that’s when McCarthy took over the team.

The Joneses asked MM for his blessing regarding Dak, it was reported way before the signing.

& who wants to coach under Moore ?

what respect has he earned to have serious superbowl winning staff members look up to him ?

who does wonderboy Kellen bring in ?!

its not only about 'look he designs good plays' , it's about respect in the NFL circles.

How can garrett jr. demand respect ?!

Remember the last time we didn't promote an offensive coordinator to head coach so he left... Seems to me he did a lot better at his new team than we did without him.

Kellen must have slapped you silly somewhere.

That's a lot of heat for the orchestrator of the #1 offense in the NFL and he's only 3 seasons into his job.

Mike McCarthy is supposed to be an offensive guru. He should be leading the offense anyway. So if Kellen Moore goes and MM lives up to his billing, it won't be such a great loss if KM leaves. Shrug.

if Dak is as good as we think he is, then it doesn't really matter who the OC is, within reason

I thought it would be the best time to ask this question because the team is on a six gaming winning streak and satisfaction levels with McCarthy and Moore seem to be strong.

So the question is ..

If after the season, Kellen Moore receives a head coach (NFL or college) offer that he plans to accept, would you want to fire Mike McCarthy and hire Kellen Moore as the Dallas Cowboys head coach or would you keep Mike McCarthy and let Kellen Moore leave?
There is some monetary number where he would stay as OC.

It's Jerry's money. I would spend as much of Jerry's money as it take to make that happen.

Let's say he get a 5-year, 45M offer to be Head Coach for some crappy team.

I would offer 1-year, 45M to keep him as OC. Again, it's Jerry's money and there is no cap for coaches.
