Would you want to sign Dak if he wasn't a Cowboy?

That 5-1 record is a lame argument. Not enough sample size to prove what you are saying.
I am not defending Dak by saying that. He has failed in the playoffs. As the team has.
The defense was playing lights out at that point. Later on they ran out of gas as usual. You know, they were "tired".
The team went 4-1 in the same season beating winning teams with Rush as the starting quarterback. That's pretty much a third of the season.

The defense played lights out in many games won with Prescott under centre - games where the defense dominated the opposition, continually turned over the ball giving Prescott chance after chance to massage his stats from a fantastic starting field position - the playoff win over an injured and completely Tampa Bay being a case in point. Overwhelmed by the Cowboys D and would have comfortably been won even with a bang average practice squad QB like Rush under centre.

Completely disagree. They look better at OL, WR, CB, S, LB. Same at QB, TE, K, P. We don't know about DT, RB or DE yet.
The overall team doesn’t look as strong but if we can avoid other key injuries and the draft picks and second year players step up that could change. We’ll get an idea of our depth in preseason. Obviously the true test will be when the regular season starts.

All the Cowboys did at DT was lose Hankins. At edge lost Fowler and Armstrong and now Sam Williams is out for the year. Even if Kneeland is good it isn’t reasonable to expect him to make up for all those losses. No way to know what Diggs will look like coming back from injury and Gilmore is gone who was CB1 most of the year.

Ehhh possible but I think you overstate that.

Because how many people here gush about Kirk Cousins or would want to sign him? If you look, their careers are pretty much the same. Stats are similar, Dak has a couple more playoff wins than him but both have postseason struggles, etc.

I think if Dak played for someone else, most here would look at him just like they look at Kirk Cousins - good QB, likely not going to win a SB with him and a big risk signing him to a massive QB contract.
Doubtful because his numbers are top 5 year and year out he doesn't get it done in the playoffs but let's be real only Mahomes really so. It's not too many QBs I'd take over Dak AND his flaws. If he played for another team I'd be wanting him.here. playing QB for Dallas just hypes up the negative and minimizes the positives
