So the "bad losses" in that post were not Baltimore and Philly and now the Giants? They are a playoff loss in 2007 and 3 other playoff losses with teams not named The Dallas Cowboys?

That's broader perspective is it? Enlighten me more. This is fascinating. I have never realized that a coaches losses with other teams translate to his current team. Tell me how the playoff losses with Denver and Buffalo affect the 2009 Dallas Cowboys.

He is the one that hasn't given Wade Phillips a contract extension.

He hasn't given Wade Phillips a contract extension because of his losses in the "past" as the coach of the Dallas Cowboys.

Jerry Jones definately sees the "broader perspective" and that is Wade Phillips has never proven he could win a Playoff Game and as Head Coach of the Dallas Cowboys, still hasn't proved it.

Enlighten me on "broader perspective." Show me how in NFL History it has taken down teams over and over and over again. How no team rises and no team falls because of parity or any other factor. You can't do it and we both know it.

This is about the Cowboys making the same mistakes and losing as they did in games last year. It has nothing to do with your tangent about parity from season to season or how teams can rise or fall. No one is arguing against that.

But is it really that difficult for you to see similarities with the way Romo played and the way he played in his losses in years past? Or is the fact that it is now 2009 supposed to magically reinvent him and everyone on the team? Is that what you're saying. Hey, the calendar has changed so everyone is a new player.
