WR Chris Henry suspended for 1st 4 games

I agree.. I see Henry as more the thuggish idiot, and Pacman as the fun loving idiot. I guess you never really know how someone really is, but I can certainly say I don't want him here.

what? fun loving? Beating strippers and ordering a friend to shoot an innocent man(now in a wheelchair) isnt fun and wacky

An interesting thought would be this. If Michael Irvin was playing today (at a younger age, not his current age) and Goodell is still commissioner, I bet he would be/ have been suspended for his propensity to wear fur coats, shack up with prostitutes in hotels and snort coke for a weekend. If he was suspended, would you take a shot at him? Remember, Irvin had more than one incident that put him negatively in the spotlight.

Please, no body knows if that's how it happened... I ain't trying to get in an argument over who's the nicer guy, but Henry is much too gangster for me.

According to JJT, Jerry has a 4 man security team assigned to Adam Jones. Jones doesn't go anywhere without at least one guard/agent.

A second security team would be able to do the trick with Henry. No miracles needed -- Just a very strong stomach.

Not worth it, in my opinion.

actually, a lot of people know thats how it happend......several witnesses

ok, for some reason you think henry is ever more of a thug, but they are both thugs. your just on pacmans side right now because he should make us better. theres no defending him.

I do belive pac will get it together, but dont act like hes misunderstood, hes in the same boat as henry

Sorry, but do believe Jerry was asked about Henry and said "no" we not interested. We've already got Pacman to rehab; we don't need another guy this year particularly since he's an old friend of Pacman's & probably the 2 together will lead each other astray.

That was before anyone knew how long the suspension would be. I wouldn't make a comment that would semi-commit me to a player when I didn't know if he would be able to sniff the astroturf (or whatever it's called nowadays) this season. Now that they know he'll miss the first four games, Jerry would know they'd have a player for 12 games. Low risk, high reward.

I don't understand how he only got 4 games coming off two prior suspensions of 8 games and a year and now they dropped it back down to four despite getting himself into trouble?

That doesn't make sense to me but I guess it's simply because he was able to get the charges dropped before the season began so instead of having to wait on trials and such it's already over with.

*Shrugs*

He was arrested but the charges were dropped. How does Marshawn Lynch get in no trouble for a hit and run ?

The LVPD and prosecution cleared him, they also know that he didn't know the shooter (so how could they be friends?) The guy that Pac fingered isn't even claiming to know him either.

What do we have to loose. He can goto camp and practice and play in the preseason. Dallas has had good luck bringing troubled players in. We could sign him CHEAP(like ADAM JONES). Cowboys have NOTHING TO LOOSE and Everything to gain.

I'd rather go for him and just cut him if he acts up rather than not go for him at all. The thing is, he probably knows based off the fact that a lot of teams have not shown much interest, that if he gets cut from the next team that does take a chance on him, his career in the NFL is pretty much over. That was the case for Tank, Pacman and TO also. Most teams just didn't want to deal with it.

He won't be a locker room distraction and he can only really help us at WR if he plays to his potential. It's at least worth a serious look.

One big plus is the Cowboys will be in the running for a ring for several years. I think the ability to play for a contender makes all the players more serious. If you play for a .500 or losing team they may just be there for the paycheck and whatever fun they can have.

No doubt, I had once thought that given time, he would surpass both Chad and T.J. as the best of the receivers the Bengals had. He was really that good and started to look a lot like a young Randy Moss to me.

But I just gotta say no. I have all the confidence in the world that Pacman will make it through this season without any off-the-field trouble, but I can say I'm equally confident that Chris Henry won't. He is that stupid.
I am not in favor of this kid. I was in favor of getting pacman. However there was a lot of negative talk about pacman as well before we got him. Now I don't seem to hear as much of it. I do believe that Pac will straighten out for this season. Someone will give this kid a chance and maybe in time he will mature. To me it seems like a good attitude is common in winners and champions.

Why is he suspended at all?His charges were dropped, anyway he will be a Cowboy by the second week cause these scrub recievers are not going to cut it.He is instantly ur #2.

I love smoking pot. Alcohol is much worse for society. Unfortunately the govt says differently. So many people die each year from alcohol. Ever hear of a stoned guy plowing into someone on his way for a cheeseburger? I haven't.

This guy is a Touchdown machine...it is actually pretty ridiculous when you look at his Receptions to Td ratio.

2005 - 31 receptions and 6 tds
2006 - 36 receptions and 9 tds

We all know we need a WR who can stretch the field....we all know we are interested in adding another WR....now I am not saying I think we should go and get him...but the guy who makes those decisions for the dallas cowboys just might be thinking that way. I am pretty sure we aren't exactly looking for another WR for the 1st 4 games of the season, so his suspension probably wont turn jerry off too much.

If you had already 2 premiere WRs on the team it might not be too hard to stand out with a little talent...

Chad J. (psycho crybaby) is arguably a top 5 WR talent... He does have mad skills to match his mouth...

TJ Whosyourmomma is an exceptional receiver who is coming off I believe a 100+ catch season and is a terrific talent. He could probably be a #1 on another team. He plays with passion too.

Chris Henry is a #3 WR behind two really fabulous WRs... not too hard to stand out when your DBs have to worry about the first two WRs.

Interesting. Charges dropped on Henry, 4 game suspension. Marshawn Lynch drives his car into somebody, runs away, gets caught pleads guilty to a lesser charge and gets off because he pled down.
