WR Treashon Holden Hype

If Mingo turns out to play well. Which I think he will.
Pickens and Mingo can be a dual threat in the end zone, they been lacking since Dez.
They went from zero threat to a possible dual threat.
And they have the speed threats in Turpin and Blue. It will be awesome if the team starts the year healthy.

He isn't making the 53. PS is the only option.
I don't know. After the first five, I don't feel that any of the others have much of an advantage. Flournoy and Brooks were both late-round picks, so perhaps they have a slight advantage, but I think it will be whoever looks better from among them, Campbell, Holden, Cropper, Harmon and Kelly.

What I find funny is fans pick pet cats, and Holden seems to be one, and sometimes it's the player who doesn't get talked about that shows out. Wouldn't surprise me if Kelly outplays Holden.

I seriously dont see how anyone can think it would be hard for the other wrs outside of lamb and Pickens to make the team, Especially since nobody is talking about Turpin being a serious No3 or the fact that Tolbert and Mingo are not world beaters themselves.

Lamb, Pickens and Turpin are the best we have at wr imo. Turpin at the 3 spot is 1on1 and a score every Sunday. Tolbert and mingo do not have that. Tolbert and Mingo could easily be beaten out for those last two spots and it shouldn't be as hard if any of the other Wrs have at least an once of potential.

I will never understand the fascination with Tolbert much less mingo.
None of them has the blocking ability of Mingo.

Nah, Kelly was a great college player. He simply doesn't have the athleticism to be an NFL player.

Could he outplay Holden? Perhaps. But I doubt it. IMO, he has the lowest chance of making the roster.

4.7 40 won't cut it. I was faster than that. Stupid slow for the NFL

Maybe so, but Brandon Smith ran a 4.62 and was our best UDFA receiver in 2021. I think that year that everyone was pimping T.J. Vasher. Smith did not have any outstanding athletic traits, but understood how to get open and catch the ball. And he's still in the league because of it while Vasher is hanging around the junior leagues.

i have high hopes for Flournoy,he has the athleticism and with some experience be a real contributor.
I like him too but it is a numbers game. they have a lot of receivers vying for the 3rd or 4th spot. I can see Flournoy getting limited chances.

I want mango to be good. I don’t think he’s been given a chance with a good quarterback,, but none of us can say that he’s solid right now.

Holden hype died down quick. Bro fighting for practice squad and that's uphill right now.
So all before OTAs are even over you’ve deemed his chances to even make the PS as Uphill? that seems like even a worse take than the ones who already have him making the game day roster…

I'm thinking that 4 players are locks.
Lamb
Pickens
Mingo
Turpin
4 others playing for 1 or 2 spots.
Tolbert
Flournoy
Cropper
Brooks
We now have excellent depth.
I think we carry 6 so gonna be a fight for those last couple of spots. Tolbert is most likely to be one of them. So the others all fighting for one spot

Who? There is nobody”strong” in that third spot. The “mediocre” bug has been around here so long it’s effecting your good sense. .
Tolbert played pretty good last year. As a 3rd WR the job gets easier when you have 2 guys people have to worry about. He and Mingo gonna fight it out for 3rd WR but one advantage he has is ST play. I don’t know if Mingo plays much on ST

His chances of making roster are slim. PS is another story. If he has a good camp he has a real shot at PS. The 53 is tough though. He’d have to beat out some guys who played a lot more football

I’d say he has a very good chance to make the PS. As far as the 53 goes I think a lot of people are going to be very surprised when this group of coaches gets rid of a lot of the bottom of the roster guys that were kept in the past simply because we were comfortable with them. As far as Holden and some of the others making the 53 goes, It will most definitely come down STs. You aren’t going to be the #5-6 WR on the 53 unless you play STs and not just as a backup return guy to Turpin. You need to run down on kickoff and punt teams.
