Hoculi was trying to take control of the game. Maclin was not down and was lunging for the first down but Hoculi wanted to make sure everyone knew he was in control.
There were a couple of plays when we had the ball on offense that were terrible calls also.
Hoculi called Flozell for an unecessary roughness call when he was just protecting a rb that was stood up.
Then Hoculi DID NOT CALL a philly player spearing Choice in the back on Tashard's last carry.
Watch the replays of that...I officially scared everyone in the house when these things happened. I was so mad I was screaming at the TV and Hoculi about his bad officiating. If we would have been playing anyone else I doubt if I would have been so worked up...but I am tired of everything we do getting called and then the refs missing everything the other team does. That pisses me off!

Hamlin is ballin' out of control lately... Hell, even Carpenter is playing solid in coverage, though he still tackles like a girl... He does wrap up though...

My only problem with the Celek hit is it never gets called when it happens to us.

A tap compared to the head removal of Crayton. To no end, this infuriates me. There is ZERO consistency with the officiating crew(s). They need to go full time and put some serious effort into consistency. I'm more than sure thay all attend the same meetings..............maybe they should all be in the same room too.

And yes, I am being dead serious. We just need the technology.

Is it possible that Hamlin may get suspended for his actions against Philly. I sure hope it's not the case, but my guess is the NFL won't quickly overlook three major penalties against him against the eagles.

He had two unncessary roughness calls and one unsportsmanlike conduct. Hopefully, at worst, he gets a fine.

No......

if all 3 were intentional? yes...only 1 looked like it was...the late hit on Maclin.....

the rest were...just so happen type of thing....he layed wood on celek...ok..what if he would have been able to get 2 hands on it? good hit

and even the announcer said he would get up in maclins face too...for pushin him like that...it shouldnt have been a penalty on hamlin

No he won't. The first sideline call was BS in my opinion. I've seen the same actions in the middle of the field with no flag. The refs were feeling the eagles were getting frustrated and were trying to stamp out the embers before a full blown 4 -alarm fire broke out.

The second; the guys knees were still inbounds..........yes he was trying to get out but football is fast and another ticky-tack call, IMO.

They will fine him because the NFL needs to look good in their end of year charity donations. I don't have a problem with that.

The offsetting penalties were bogus. Hamlin did nothing wrong on that play. But I didn't appreciate the late hit on Maclin. That type of thing is bush league and totally unnecessary. It also hurts the team to the tune of 15 yards. There's just no place for it. I hope Hamlin sets a better example for the young guys next week.

Given the situation, e.g., a very lopsided score with us being way ahead, I don't mind him letting Maclin know his shot to the face on the previous play wasn't forgotten. Not to mention the garbage flag on Hamlin for simply standing in his face in reaction to it. Hamlin was pissed.

Sometimes you have to hurt the other guy to let him know he'd better keep it clean. In another situation it would have been a bad decision, in this one, I'm fine with it and am glad he did it.

Im not sure if you could see it on tv, but when the team came out of the tunnel, desean jackson and some other eagles started a fight and all our guys ran over there.

it was great. it was like the old days

The contact with his facemask on Maclin was a very weak call. And on the hit on Maclin after that Maclin was inbounds lunging for a 1st down because he was never down. I have no idea how that was even a penalty.

I concur, I guess refs were trying to keep things under control by calling offsetting penalties as they could see frustration of eagles. :(

Dont know why we never get those kind of calls when our receivers /TEs get smacked .

It's amazing how many times Tony gets hit after he's thrown the ball or a player will pile on after a tackle.
If 'amazing' is code for 'really pisses me' off you are right.

I thought Maclin was already touched and down. My bad.

I don't think it's your bad. It was a late hit.

But I agree with your earlier point about the offsetting penalties call. That was nonsense.

The first shot against Celek set the tone. Maybe it was stupid because we stopped them, but I guess the message got delivered. I'm ok with that. Show them, that this game will be physical and get in their heads early.
The second one was a reaction to the slap by Maclin. Happens. I'd prefer him doing nothing and let them eat the 15yds, but who wouldn't react in that situation?
The third call was bogus. The Eagles player (was it Maclin?) wasn't down or oob yet.

hope Hamlin delivers some next week too.

That definitely wasn't on TV. Who did they start a fight with?

The late hit on Maclin didn't look late to me. He was inbounds and he still kept trying to get to the 1st down marker. Hamlin just tried to keep him from getting a 1st.

I thought it was a legal hit as well, but you gotta admit Hamlin was going in there with bad intentions, lol. I actually like a bit of nastiness like that in our defense, just as long as it doesn't go overboard. But like the poster above said, Hoculi imposed his will waaaaaay to much on the game last night and was not consistent at all. Why is it that the other teams can get away with blatant holding on Ware all game long but as soon as our O-line fingernail touches the back of the other teams jersey, we get a ten yard penalty? It really is sickening.

Hamlin led the team out of the locker room and when they got to the other side of the field in front of the eagles where the teams stop and turn around.....players on the eagles sidelines, led by jackson were yelling at hamlin and our guys.

that just caused a big ruckus....ratliff had to be dragged away by about 4 people, one of them being romo....

It was awesome. Jackson, trotter, samuels were really getting into it....

Choice, hamlin and ogletree were talking after every play. they frustrated the crap out of philly.

it was a streetfight and they were just whipped.

Celek pulled the old "soccer flop" trick .. he acted like he was really hurt bad, goes out for a play or two and then plays the rest of the game without a problem.

That's how Hamlin has been the whole time he's been here. Fans here just liked to pile on one guy.
