Dallas loved him. I think that hat may be from his own personal collection.
according to the local newspaper, he grew up a Titans fan (no clue why) but I'm sure he had a idea where he might land

another from Louisiana Tech would disagree w/ the small school part

So would all of the LA Tech players that are currently in the NFL... including recent #1 draft pick Vernon Butler and the 3 guys taken this year.

Since 2010, LA Tech has had:

One first round pick
Two third round picks
Three fourth round picks
Two 5th round picks
and
Three 6th round picks

and they have another in Jaylon Ferguson that wouldn't surprise me if he gets first round consideration when he leaves

10. Xavier Woods, S, Louisiana Tech (Round 6, pick No. 191)

Another free safety/slot prospect, Woods showed great ball skills in both roles at Louisiana Tech, finishing with 14 interceptions and 10 pass breakups on 127 targets over the last three years. Woods’ 85.0 PFF coverage grade ranked 16th among safeties last season, and he adds a movable piece to the Dallas secondary that received an impressive overhaul in the draft. We expected Woods to come off the board much earlier than the sixth round, so expect him to compete for immediate playing time for the Cowboys.

I'm a recent Louisiana Tech grad who had many classes w/ Xavier and y'all got a great one. He was always the smartest guy in the room. It was a good thing there was never a curve or he would've killed it and he made a 39 on his Wonderlic
I was pounding the table for him in the fourth. But I wasn't aware of the intellect... mostly the interceptions.

If you're into cherry picking you should check out his game in 2015 against the Dak Prescott led Miss State
I'm not cherry picking. That was from an entire game. He looks like a completely different player against Arkansas, though:

He's all over the field in this game.

He might had all the teams in there.
I don't think so, it's a small backpack he would have had to dig if their were 32 hats. 3-5 maybe but he pulled it out quickly with one hand. I think he had a personal short list.

There were only 4 hats in there: Dallas, Washington, NY Giants, and Philly.

He did it that way so when Dallas picked him, he could pee on the other 3.

Smart guy.

But thinking about it more, he could have told that kid "Dallas" then the kid goes to the other room where the 32 hats are, puts the hat in the backpack. That way it looks like he wanted to go to that team all along.

There is a reason that he fell in the draft. I'm not saying he won't be a good one, but maybe there is a reason why he fell.

I'm not too impressed. I'm not saying guys can't come from a small school and produce, but his production is against future used car salesmen and accountants. His most productive games came against UTEP and UNT.

From the videos I have seen, he seems really slow to react and doesn't wrap up. Some atrocious angles in pursuit, as well. To me, he looks like JJ Wilcox, which I guess is fine, considering where he was taken.

I hope this was just a bad day for him. Burned multiple times and not a factor at all in run support.

You watched the draft show too much... stealing their lines of "used car salesman accounts and dentists"

He didn't play power 5 football but he was still division 1 and played against the big boys

A Sean Lee type mind in the backend would be amazing. I'm sure he'll be in on most 3rd and long passing situations. We've come a long way since having Church and new safety Wilcox back thee
