I'm so excited
I'm so excited
That's the one glaring flaw. But seems like it can be taught. He explodes into the opposition, but often times, as you said, D, using his shoulder to level the player.great ball skills.....but he does not like to wrap up, does he??
Don't be so narrow minded, Bob. With respect. Let's wait and see. There's All-Pro dbs that have fallen in the draft (Chancellor, Harris Jr. to name a couple), just to hi-light the fallacy of that arguement.
Fair enough, Bob. Just trying to add a little perspectiveI'm not trying to be narrow minded. I think he is getting a ton of hype as a 6th round player from a small school, so I have tempered expectations, that's all.
That's fine. All I am saying is that if you hang your hat on the experts, that knife cuts both ways. The experts thought Jamarcus Russell and Ryan Leaf were first rounders. I've probably seen him play by a factor of ten more than others here and I think he's a baller. I'm no professional, but I've seen football played long enough to see a S when I see one. Is he going to be better than the first rounders? Probably not. But he can still be prettt dang good.
Best value pick in the draft
Went back and watched his clips after the draft...Wow is this kid over-rated.
Someone is sure pushing this kid up for more than he is. Thought I'd see better cover skills (for a guy his size)....Thought I'd see a thumper. (instead you get a guy that throws his shoulder out and knocks a guy off his route...instead of squaring a guy up). Thought I'd see a better tackler....(doesn't wrap up...always going for the kill shot)
Felt like I watched a chihuahua chase cars....
Not going to be shocked one bit when training camp opens and he gets abused....and panic starts to set in because we need to scramble for a dime safety....I think we are already counting on this kid to play a big part on our D. And that's scary.
Guy looks like a practice squad candidate if I ever saw one. He really needs to hit the weight room (hard) and get stronger.
Knowing he fell to the 6th round now....I'm not shocked. Knowing we gave up a 5th for next year....sucks. We over paid. We probably w/ get a comp pick next year....that will make up for this mistake.
Anyway..hope this kid puts in the work and gets better...because he has a long road ahead. Anyone who is buying the hype needs to tap the brakes.
This is straight up awesome. Watch this and try to convince me the Dallas Cowboys aren't relevant.
Exactly. We should draft more Boise St. players like the great DeMarcus Lawrence and Kellen Moore. No more Xavior Woods'.I'm going to place this next to your evaluation of the great K. Moore
If he ends the season with 5 int's and a couple forced fumbles, will you redact this?
The kid plays the ball and has a knack for getting turnovers, smart too.
BTW, I said best value(very high ceiling), not best player
Yeah, I'm not saying he has no chance. Just tempered expectations. Hell, he's a 6th rounder, so if he's on the team next year, that is a positive in my book.

Taywan Taylor or whatever his name is was a 3rd round pick, I believe. WKU had the nations top offense, they killed a lot of people. The only thing I saw was that he can't really guard WRs out of the slot. That dude from western Kentucky was killing him. As a safety he looked very good to me.
