Perhaps.
Whenever I see sample questions from that test I am horrified about the low level of intelligence expected from college student/athletes.
That's not exactly how the test works. I've taken it in an interview round for a finance job before. It's not at all just for athletes. You answer questions that become progressively harder and have to answer as many as possible in 10 minutes. Your score is a factor of both correctness and speed. To score well you need to answer questions correctly, but also a bunch of them correctly.

As long as we dont have to live through the pains of watching Heath play safety, I will be very happy.

Hate to rain on your parade but, Stephen has said along with Garrett that they are going to give Heath a chance to claim that job based
on his play last year. Heath is not a bad player and hanging your hat on one bad game against Megatron is the wrong way to evaluate
a player from a small school who is getting better each and every year.

I just took a sample test because I was curious of the material it covered.
You're right about the bar being set low.

Yeah, he beat that score by spelling his own name correctly.

I'm curious as to why you're so down on Jeff Heath playing safety?

Because for the last 3 years he couldnt even beat out Wilcox, so how good can he really be? And I have seen him over the years missing plenty of tackles when he did get in there. And he seems to suffer what most of the old guys suffer from. A lack of play making. What he had that one pick in the playoffs and everything thinks the guy can be good now? Im not buying it. He is special teams ace and backup safety fodder.

Woods is a player that should have been draft 2-3 rounds earlier,,, our steal of the draft.

Yes, I'm that guy who taps the brakes. I like our draft a lot, but I remember fans saying the same thing about Pat Watkins when we drafted him as a fifth-rounder. Truth is, we have no idea how these guys are going to turn out. I'm excited to see, but reality of the draft tells me that some of these guys are going to wash out.

Just going by pedigree, I won't be surprised if Awusie ends up as a starting safety.

IMO, we will be a little more solid at corner with Scandrick, Brown, Carroll and Lewis than at safety, where Heath and Blanton are our other choices to start. We'll see how it shakes out, but Carroll/Scandrick and Brown at corner and Awusie and Jones at safety may be our starting lineup.

What of Heath have you seen lately that pained you when he was on the field?

I think he played well last year in a limited role and at least the last half of 2015. However, his responsibilities in that role were different than the starting safeties. He was primarily playing a deep zone, while Church, whom he would be replacing, played a lot of short zone/run defense.

If we run a true two-deep, Heath may be fine as the starter. I don't know who he will handle Cover 1 or even Cover 3. Or how he'll handle being the only deep safety if Byron covers the tight end 1-on-1 in the base, although I believe I saw him in the role some.

There's a big difference in being one of five or six DBs on the field and one of four.

I'm really excited to see this kid on the field. Kid can bring the wood but also shows himself as a ball hawk.

Same here. This is another 6th round pick who legitimately has a good chance to see snaps early on and perform at a relatively high level similar to Brown last season.

I understand where your coming from, but we shall see. Guess I get a bit more optimistic considering our recent success drafting.

If I MAY....because I was at the game. It might be the heartbreak of him being beat like a drum by Calvin Johnson in Detroit to lose us the game. That sticks with a lot of people. BUT, that was a long time ago and I am very much looking forward to him competing and possibly winning the spot.

My outlook is always optimistic, as in I hope the best for these players and every pick turns out to be great. But the realistic side of me knows the odds of that happening are very, very low.
