But I dont believe Todd Archer, JJT and reeves operate this way. So its not fair to talk of them like that. Archer never writes stories like the rest of the hurd. its a shame. MOst of the guys here are just trying to use their current job as a stepping stone to get to espn and back to the east coast.

JJT has good relationships with the players and organization here and he does have some strong opinions but I really dont lump him in with the engles or watkins or mcmahon.

OK , my mistake. I have nothing on those guys you mention and rarely see them embroiled in these stories.

right, that is why I am saying I dont paint them all with the same brush.

Archer never is involved in that stuff. He is the best guy here. Even when he does tv shows or radio shows with the other guys and they try and pull him into the nonsense he stays level headed and talks football.

Now some other people here, watkins, galloway, the engles etc.....they basically need the cowboys to fail to do their job. They simply cant just cover the game and the team when things are normal with us being a good team and winning.

Like last year, we were 11-1 after the detroit game and they were basically writing stories predicting our doom and declaring new pitfalls every week.

they had nothing all year. Then they got the golden goose with the washington loss, the trip to cabo and the loss to the giants. They simply are not capable of just covering the team and the game.

but again its a two way street. You invite these people in knowing their agendas and give them full access, so you cant complain.

good point about romo. Locally, Every station I listen to here over the past month just as many people want him removed as owens.

If anything, Tony would probably make a pitch to keep him...I don't think he'll ever forget how instrumental T.O. was in his ascension to Pro Bowl starting QB. He strikes me as a truly gracious person.

As long as Jerry's not talking to Bobby Carpenter, he's going to hear basically nothing but positive things about Terrell...and I have sources who are better informed regarding that one.

They are lying hacks who have to produce "RESULTS". The results in their industry is measured in "BIG STORIES".

I guess you see them as integrity-driven, honest men who say to themselves," Well, I have no story to get in on this Cowboy deal of Werder's so I c an stand on my integrity and be fired OR make up something, give it a "source" and run with it to get readers/ratings, keep my editor happy, keep my job and my family fed"

they all are doing a job, and if all they did was make upo stories they would be fired......easy defense of a story you disagree with is that it is a lie....its not.....these guys DO have inside sources......they may exagerate but they dont just straight out lie....

And you have another group that will believe anything that is thrown out , with the flimsiest of proof by "reporters" paid to make controversy, just because it fits into what they think is happening. Those folks are the "Bigfoot video believers"...
