there are ways to kill big rats,

i was at a company once, and i know a friend, she got this guy that goofed off and had a big mouth, she got him to talk and say what all he would do and not do at work, and she got it all on tape recorder, then she let the big big boss here that tape

there are ways to find out who rats are, and stop them

There is a group here who wouldn't believe TO was a problem if every Dallas Cowboy player came to their house to tell them that they personally believed it was true. There is always a built in excuse to any story about TO.

And vice versa as well. Both contingents are strong, neither well-informed.

i think all of the players are involved,
not just T O

if what some zoners are saying about garrett,

and we know there are 4-5 unnamed sources, at least thats what ed werder says

then, crayton blabs some, newman blabbed some, ed werder says bradie james sings like a bird

so its not all T O, its the team

now what does that really say?

that says, their is no real leader in the front office or from the Head Coach to put fear in these players for blabbing, etc

to a much larger degree that is what is really going on,

coaches and players for blabbing, pointing fingers at others, and not really looking at themselves

if you dont have a strong Head Coach to nip this stuff in the bud, you have a problem

Man, Jerry Jones has gone A-wall. He's losing it.

First, he gives Owens (his pet) all that money, and that made him real bold. That was a stupid mistake. Plus, you don't give a 35 year old WR that much money to begin with. Owens' play dropped off the table in 2008. 65.8 YPG says it all. Teams don't fear him, anymore. The better corners easily handled him.

Second, he goes in the lockerroom and chews out the team after the Rams game. "Sure thing, coach".

Third, he said that "he likes all that stuff" when talking about Ed Werder's story. He can't be that stupid. I couldn't believe he made that statement.

Fourth, he calls out Marion Barber for not playing in Pittsburgh. He made himself look like a fool.

Fifth, he chases Dan Reeves out of Valley Ranch. He made himself look really bad with that great backflip.

Sixth, he is listening to all of Owens' friends or the WRs or some defensive players (those are the guys that like Owens) who are probably getting worried about "Little T" getting the boot. Again, players going over Phillips and Garrett and running to grandpa Jerry or Coach Jones.

Stephen can't take over fast enough. There might not be anything left when his dad is done.

I bet you anything that Jason Garrett wants him out of there ASAP. His career can't take forcing 17 passes or throwing 9.0 passes per game to a guy who can't get open.

"A-Wall " :lmao2:

But it was the closest thing to correct in that whole post.:laugh2:

Hope you all enjoy watching TO in 2009....

me i just think most of this is media driven garbage. are there problems in dallas? sure, but is it to the extent that it being made out to be? highly doubtful.

but i dont know whats getting worse, espn and its unnamed sources. or the 5 million owens threads on cowboys forums. im a huge owens fan, but im a bigger cowboys fan. and these threads are just getting annoying and take away from each cowboys forum. the cowboys are much more then a story.

i think people are getting tired of these threads, except for a few on each forum who just like to argue for the sake of arguing. doesnt matter what it is.

the main thing i know is supposedly there are about 5 unnamed sources that are blabbing

just like the report yesterday on yahoo sports, someone blabbed about players coming to jerry jones home

to me, thats the biggest problem on this team, the blabbing

you dont do that if your a true football team

and you have a strong head coach

I am sure Tony would rather throw to his old roommate then win games....

This is not the way athletes work. They may fist fight because they dislike each other but they don't try to play with lesser talent over anger.

I expect players to tell Jerry they need Terrell Owens to be a better team mate and to take direction but I do not expect them to tell him they can't play with the guy. The fact Jerry is calling players over coaches tells me T.O. stays.
Any player who says he can't play with another to me would be a red flag in a huge way. If winning is the ultimate goal then someone being a baby or an idiot shouldn't derail you from doing your job to win; as long as they perform in the game that is all that should matter. That's why players will always say so and so shouldn't be suspended or treated too harshly for any and all actions until it is clear a guy is gone.

And that, in a nutshell, is a big part of the problem.

I do believe it has surpassed the heat of the old Quincy vs Hutch debates.

You're back to that. Guess Reeves departure and Jones' decision to talk to the players has emboldened you once again. You left it behind for a while when Reeves, first came, Adam Schefter and Glazer, I think it was, started saying TO was gone.

Jerry Rice was one of the biggest ****** bags in the history of the world, much worse than T.O.

Blasted his QBs and coordinators all the time. But this was way before the mass-media age, blogs, and the era of 'leaking' information.

You are sooo right. Its not like the Cards just made the Super Bowl because of Fitzgerald or anything. And it was clearly the Pittsburgh running game that keep them in the game and allowed them to win it.

well your a fool if you think you can look at one game and then equate that to the whole season and what it takes to get there.

With the exception of the 49ers in the 80s, maybe, none of those teams, especially the steelers this year won because of their superstar wr.

But hey if you think you need superstar wr to win, good for you, I wont be able to change your mind.

You and jerry can keep signing the anthony miller's, trading for joey galloway and giving boat loads of cash to owens and williams.

Giants wouldn't have won a Super bowl if Dominic Hixon runs that fade late in the game.

I can't wait to see how well we do with Roy Wi11iams, Patrick Crayton, and Miles Austin as our receiver core next year. And I am going to badger you about it all the way to 7-9 while 81 flourishes somewhere else, ripping our organization the whole way.

what does that have to do with anything I said?

They won two superbowls without jerry rice.

They were a machine. One of the finest football teams with the finest personell and coaching in the history of any sport.

They didnt win superbowls just because they had jerry rice. He helped them obviously because he is one of the five greatest players in the history of the league, but I have a feeling that had they plugged in another wr they wouldnt exactly have been bad.

Especially like I said, seeing that they won two superbowls without jerry.

But he never took his grievance to the media, held press conferences about it or created such a HUGE distraction to the clubhouse that, despite his enormous talent, his team had to let him go.

I'll give you a two-letter guess who did/does the above? ;)

Remember, the Devil is in the detail.

As for the media making this up? Pu-lease.

The details are too specific to be made up. Besides, when you give specific details, you open yourself up for rebuttal. Don't you think if Jerry Jones wasn't talking to players about T.O. he would come out and say so?

Nobody's making anything up. These things are happening. Too many outlets (ESPN/Sports Illustrated/PFT/Yahoo/Dallas Morning News/Fort Worth Star-Telegram) are reporting similar stories.

You mean to tell me that all those established outlets are making stories up?

so in your opinion the giants won the superbowl last year because of their wr?

okay. Thats fine.

Opinions vary.

and God I hope that is our wr crew next year. We will spread the ball around and be very dangerous. That group with our two tight ends and three running backs will be a very dangerous offense.

The most dangerous offenses are the ones that can run and setup third and 3 or less. If we become that kind of team we will start having some serious success.

And I will be right here, you can badger me all you want. I firmly believe the number 1 wr theory is just that, a theory. Surround your qb with good players who are team first and you will have success. With that group we would have next year we will spread it around.

There is a reason guys like mark ingram, troy brown, hines ward, gary clark etc have multiple championships. Just as their are reasons mark duper, chris carter, the three amigos etc have none.

Its about team. Team first.
