If Roy Williams is a Pro Bowler then so is Adam Archuletta. Congratulations on your other representatives but Williams is so overrated it is ridiculous. You could even make the argument that he is the worst starter on your defense. Good grief.

I partially agree with this. In Cover 1 the CBs are in Man Coverage and the FS is basically Center Field deep. So if only 1 WR comes deep the FS should be cheating over to help the CB with double coverage. So, the FS would also bear some responsibility in that case.

Doesn't matter, we were not in Cover 1. Hamlin was not deep, he was about 5 to 7 yards from the LOS in an underneath Zone, so blaming him for that coverage was completely foolish.

The CB would be in man coverage. He can't bite on a fake out route thinking he has over the top help because although there is a FS deep, there is no guarantee he will be able to help out. If the offense runs mirrored routes the FS can't cheat to either side. When the CB is locked in man coverage he won't know whether the safety is there or not. He can hope he gets some help, but he has to plan on the worst case that he is covering that island on his own.
