For the people who keep this love on Manziel I don't understand.

The kid is one of the most immature an selfish players in CFB and you all want him on the roster?

He isn't that talented and all of his throws go deep into double coverage for the most part.

He is NOT Russel Wilson and infact Wilson's character is the complete opposite of Manziel's.

Someone was telling me about how there was an instagram comparison between Wilson and Kaepernick.

On the one side you had Kaepernick posting all these pictures of ridiculous stuff like a closet full of Jordans to an extent that's reminiscent of MTV Cribs and all the stupid rappers who would by multiples of each show in different colors. Pictures of him hanging with the boys putting on mean mugs or posing in front of some expensive item. Just the type of pictures that show you how dense and selfish a person is.

On the other side you have Wilson's pictures from charity events and children's hospitals, and just being an overall good guy. The type of stuff thats hard to not root for.

I'm not saying that Kaep doesn't do good things but he's definitely more of a "me" type of guy. That's pretty much how I envision Manziel to be. Not the same exactly but along the same lines. I hope he sucks and I hope some other team gets to enjoy having him on their roster.

And Kap is still about 24 inches away from having 2 Super Bowls. There is more than 1 way to skin a cat.

It's all fun to speculate about Johnnie..

he reminds me of Jerry Rhome..

he was exactly like Manziel..

..could scramble around..

could throw the ball 65+ yds. down field..

..but he was just too short to play out of the pocket..

had to roll out to see downfield..

and it was a competition b\w him and Don Meredith for the starters job.

Landry couldn't make up his mind and actually rotated him and Meredith every other series..

until Meredith finally got traction throwing to Bob Hayes and Frank Clarke and Danny Reeves out of the backfield.

But I always thought Rhome WAS the better passer.

He just didn't have the measurables.

So I think if you are drafting for long-term answers..

you don't bet the house on Manziel.

Manziel can't throw it 65 yards downfield. Not that a QB needs to do so to be successful in the NFL.

Sure but I'm not commenting on whether he can play his style at the NFL level.

I hope he sucks and preferably for another team because I think he's got dousche written all over him.

So the success of one of the hardest working, high-character guys in the NFL somehow elevates Manziel's draft stock? If anything it should lower it.

So we're gonna trade up to 1 overall for manziel ? Makes total sense yahoo.

Yeah this is what I don't get.... It'd be one thing if he was projected to be in our range when we're on the clock, but there's no way we trade up w the holes we have to fill on defense. If anything we trade down not up

Aint happening. Jerry would have to move up to top 5, though you know it would be a marketing dream for him.

How many inches was Romo away from a Super Bowl? A trillion?!

I'd argue without the field goal debacle against the Seahawks would've had one in 06. We were the hottest team in the league. Still almost can't believe we didn't win in 2007, that team was top to bottom lights out.

I'm not so sure about 2006... we couldn't even beat Philly at home down the stretch to win the division outright and also lost the next week at home to Kitna and Detroit. There's no doubt that after we won the Giants game in NY to go 8-4 that we were on fire and a threat to anyone. But after that loss to the Eagles, we just couldn't get it back. I guess some would say we peaked too early, but I never have believed much in that.

IF JM were to fall to Jerry, or, Jerry moves up to get him, this stadium would be standing room only, all eyes will be squarely on Dallas again. No one will even remember Seattle or Denver. No one will care about Peyton Manning, all they will care about is when will JF take over for Romo. Jerry's perfect storm, marketing brilliance. And if JF took us to the playoffs, the ratings for the NFL would be historical. JF & Dallas = perfection. (maybe not, but it felt good to say it)

A more important reason it isn't going to happen is because Romo's contract is one of the few moves the represents significant cap relief for this year.

As the date to be cap compliant is 2 months before the draft the team will restructure and be in a position where Romo will remain on the roster for at bare minimum half of Manziel's rookie contract because cutting him costs more than keeping him for the year in 2015 if they are to restructure this year.

You can't have a 1st round pick on the bench for half his contract but the massive dead money from getting him on the field is also unacceptable.

Throw in the fact that all drafted players are gambles and that Dallas would be better served by trying to maximize the last few years of a proven QB and a Manziel pick would be an awful move all around.

I hope he goest to Jacksonville. Blaine Gabbert absolutely sucks and there's few places that are worse for a player to land so it'd be a perfect match.

I realize you were like 9 and probably had more important things on your mind at the time like juice boxes and action figures, but that team lost 3 of it's last 4 before going to Seattle.

Hot, they were not.
