Someone may have already pointed this out but I give all the credit to Jim Johnson. He gambled that NY would come out and play a certain way and his gameplan worked to near perfection.

He said the Giants are a lot easy to defend without someone named Plaxico. There is even talk in NY that the Giants would bring him back if everything works out. If not maybe if Jerry listens to some of the genuises on this site, they can pick a #81 pretty cheap......:)

One thing I have noticed in most of these playoff games is the ability to allow the QB to setup in the pocket and find his targets. You can blame Romo all you want but until this line starts giving him time he will struggle as will most QB's it is not that hard to see if you take off the damn superman cape and treat him like any other QB without time no QB is doing much

What a QB needs is what McNabb got today and allows him to get by without a lot of playmakers at WR.

An O-Line that gives him time to make the plays.

Romo doesn't get there here, down the stretch, and as you saw today neither did Eli and what happens? They play like crap.

The sooner people realise that solid O-Line play, protecting their QB and keeping him clean, is the most important part of any offensive gameplan the sooner they're going to realise what will help a QB like Tony rise to the occassion and be able to make the plays you're looking for him to make.
They also have a short-passing game. They run a West-Coast offense which minimizes a lot of pressure on the QB, coupled in with one of the best screen-runners in the game. Their game-planning also assists their offensive line.

If there is one coach I wouldn't mind Jerry replacing Wade with, it is Andy Reid...

like many of us said eli is effective as a game manager.

when he cant hide behind a power run game he struggles

let him run our offense and see how effective he is. no one is saying eli is a bum but his play is exaggerated

Never believed that crap....

The ROMO/ELI debate comes down to what one favores in a QB.

ROMO has outperformed ELI over the past two "REGULAR SEASONS" and has better personal stats, however, ELI has outperformed ROMO in "DIVISION PLAY" and the "PLAYOFFS".

Therefore, if you prefer "PLAYOFF & DIVISION FOOTBALL" then ELI is the man, and if you like "REGULAR SEASON & PERSONAL ACHEVEMENTS" then ROMO is your guy.

 Dude!

Jerry is trying to build a new staidum...he can't feed Fat Andy and finance a new building at the same time!

yes, cause look how far eli got the giants and look how far Romo got the 'Boys.

If anybody wants to compare, we should be comparing Romo with Brandon Jacobs.

Those are the two guys who have the ball in their hands on their respective teams when the game is on the line.

khiladi,

Andy Reid is too pass happy. He drafted Freddie Mitchell over Reggie Wayne.

That move alone, probably cost him multiple Super Bowls. Reid is a good coach who has lived in the NFC Title Game and gone to the Super Bowl one time.

I don't think their offense has enough to beat the Cardinals. I could be wrong. They hung 48 on them.

Edit: This version of the Cardinals.

There are worse QBs to be compared to.

That was ugly. I actually felt bad for him, but I'm glad they lost. I remember 1996 and 2003 too well.

Now, that was a turnover machine day that the Cowboys offense may have struggled to keep up with.

He just got picked off again...

He is a chuck and pray QB. Steve Smith just couldn't bail him out on Saturday.

So whos going to make the
Mcnabb>Romo thread.

Everyone knows Romo can not compete with McNabb AT ALL so there is not a reason to make that thread
