It will be addressed in the off-season. There is no way both of them are on this team next year. And if Zeke is the one still here, it's Jerry refusing to admit he screwed up.

You can't pay Pollard and keep Zeke.

LOL… “waving himself out of games”

The guy played most of last year on a partially torn PCL. Should he have played? That’s a different discussion. IMO— the coaches should not have left that up to him— but IMO— Zeke gets props for playing his guts out and trying his best to help the team.

He finished last game with a grade 2 MCL strain lol… he is tough as nails and deserves more respect for what he has accomplished than what he gets from a lot of this fan base

So we should keep trotting out a middling NFL-caliber back outta respect?

Is this a contract year for Pollard?

i still can't believe pollard got beat to the edge last week on that 3 and 2

Probably because he got the ball 5 yards back. From under center he's gonna be a lot tougher to contain.

I know Zeke is tough and I respect it.

That has nothing to do with wanting the player that gives us the best chance to win playing in the games.

That player is clearly Pollard.

Pollard should be getting the bulk of the carries while Zeke becomes the change of pace guy.

I am all for Pollard getting more carries and moving on from Zeke this offseason and extending Tony on a decent contract.

But Zeke still brings value to this roster in a number of roles, and I think we are a better team with him than without him— even though his contract is an issue

Yards Per Rush - Pollard 1st Zeke 32nd out of 46 Running Backs.
Wow! Just saw this on ESPN. New team controversy?
....but Yards per game, Pollard and Zeke are the same. Can this be relayed to KMoore regarding usage and situation, and rhythm for the RBs?

If it's 3rd and 2, I feel better with Zeke in, but it's also VERY game flow dependent. Zeke is a grinder, TP will house it. Both are good backs.

The thing is Pollard is able to break those 3rd and shorts for 50+ yards and touchdowns, while Zeke might get you 2 to 10 yards max.

Pollard's floor isn't that much lower compared to Zeke's, but Pollard's ceiling is significantly higher than Zeke's.

Pollard needs to be on the field a minimum of 60% of the plays each game.

There are like 10 million stats out there proving TP is a better runner than Zeke at this point but for some reason some fans just don't want to admit it.

I think we need them both running to be at our best, but TP should be getting 50% of the touches at a MINIMUM.

Midling? His numbers for his career compare favorably to some HOF RBs. IMPORTANT NOTE: I am NOT saying he IS a HOF RB. Merely that his numbers are impressive and he has been FAR more productive than the term “midling” would suggest.

Also— I am not sure why Zeke/Pollard is an either/or dilemma. I am all for giving Pollard more touches, and I am all for utilizing Zeke in certain packages as well.

Why do you have to tear down a player by calling him “midling” just to advocate a higher snap count for Pollard? Zeke may not be able to make house calls at this point— but he is more valuable than most fans are giving him credit for IMO

I think that's the goal from go, then it's game flow dependant. KM frustrates me with his substitutions. We sit the hot hand far too often. Some of that is Zeke pulling himself though. I love Zeke, but honestly can't remember Emmitt ever pulling himself. I'm not questioning Zekes massive heart, only saying there are times I wish he'd stay in.

Zeke is a fat selfish overpaid money grubbing turd. You hold out two years early for the biggest RB contract ever and this is what we get? I will be so happy when he is a distant memory.
.....is there anything else you failed to mention? I wonder if you were around when he was running under a rookie contract? Listen Micah, listen.

He is one of the worst RBs in the NFL right now by almost every metric.

This job is not a career achievement award. He was good when he entered the league. Why should that dictate how much he plays now?

The Zeke worship is absolutely mind blowing.
