Yes our QB is a great leader, but what else?

One of the reasons that attracted Dak to the Cowboys as a college player was his leadership abilities. It's evident in his years of being a cowboy that he's a great leader, he can galvanize the troops, and say the right things. With that said, there's more to being a leader than just these things. A leader on the football field also needs to be a winner for you as well. We all know what this team needs, we've been lacking it for 20+ seasons. This is the Dallas Cowboys, America's team, when you're the QB of the Dallas Cowboys, so many great things can take off for you monetarily. In the end, none of the fortune and fame can get you to play better if you're regressing, and no one is telling you about yourself. Please give your thoughts, it's good to be a leader, but we need wins!

Leadership only gets you so far after throwing 3 picks in a game.
Exactly what i'm saying, we need more than just saying the right words, he's in his whatever season, it's time for some action. You want that big money, GO GET IT!!!!

He is not a great leader.

This is just something said about him because he has no ability or skills that make him great.

It's like calling someone a "gym rat" or "good locker room guy".

The "good leader" stuff is another narrative that needs to go away with this bum.

I think he's a good guy, players and coaches like him but I don't see him leading much. I do see him following. He follows commands even if he disagrees with them. Rarely changes plays to anything other than the 2 options given to him. i think a leader has to recognize and make changes on the fly and demand his skill players step up.

Great leader is a sssttttrrrreeeettttcccchhhh! Leaders lead, win and conquer. Dak is a faux leader, it is all smoke and mirrors to portray something he isn’t.
These things will all be brought up in contract negotiations that jerry is dying to do

Can't demand much if your game isn't up to par to tell someone else what to do

This "great leader" theme is ridiculous and unearned.

He's no moreso than any other quarterback. It's just something to say because he's a nice guy with a good attitude who can't really play the position.

Don't know that I agree with that, but let's say I do. To be a great leader in the NFL, one must also have the requisite talent. Dak does not. I used to think he could work his way up to being better, but folks, this is year 8. Dak is exactly what he is at this point.

You must have the brain talent to do what you are proposing.

Hey I guess that's what it is, they continue to do it. I guess he's saying the right things all the time, and that gives them the confidence to say this about him

2019 called and wants its Cowboys take back. LOL

Agree with everyone else. You may be cool in the huddle, smart with defenses, a great teammate, but ultimately you have to win and make plays when needed to keep that 'leader' tag.

Yeah at year 2-4 you'd say that, we're at 8 lol, like come on he needs to be thinking about what he's doing to do after football, getting better isn't happening, SAME ISSUES every year like what the hell!??? So let's keep paying him because you know he'll have a few good games for us, me, you and everyone else will call him the chosen one, the chosen one will then let us down!!!! End of story, he's the highest paid qb in history!!
