The Cowboys have the 20th pick in the draft.

The Cowboys have retained all players on the 2011 roster except:
Newman (refused a pay cut)
James
Brooking
Dockery
Holland
MartyB
Ogletree
Kitna

The Cowboys have NOT signed any Free Agents except the ones already on the team (i.e. Spencer, Elam, Sensabaugh, etc. were all re-signed)

The Cowboys are on the clock in the 1st round. Who is your pick? (You can trade up/down based on the trade Chart)

I would select either OG DeCastro or C Konz depending on who is left. I would even run up to the mic to make the announcement.

The question would become more interesting if you had them letting Spencer walk.

With the way it's set up though i'll take Claiborne from LSU.

If he is gone i'd try to trade down a few spots and pick up the best interior OL. Most likely Decastro.

Claiborne is definitely gone..as you mentioned

move down and you may lose DeCastro

lets say you move down and do lose him..then who do you want?

Hmmm. Good question.

I don't know enough about Konz right now to take him.

Thats tough but i'd like to go Corner/OL/Front 7 in that order.

It's such a deep corner draft that I guess i'll do my best to fix the interior OL.

I don't know enough about this draft class yet though.

Vontaze Burfict: Time to get mean!

I thought about this but if he is as good as everyone says he'll go top 10.

Also are you going to play him at OLB?

ILB........You sure we won't be top 10? You sure Bruce Carter is gonna be a starter?

No and no.

But if we draft Burflict we're basically conceding that he won't be.

I am really hoping we didn't go after Kevin Burnett again.

I dont love DeCastro and if Konz isnt in the draft I would really start looking at some size in the front 7 and pass rushing. Then try for the G/C after that with Glenn or Brewster.

The biggest thing we lack physically right now is the ability to get 3 feet if we need 3 feet.

So the interior OL is easily our biggest weakness imo.

Decastro is kind of a do it all player but I hate taking someone in the interior that high unless im getting a Pouncey twin.

*IF* Newman is cut, he'll be a june first cut. That way his cap hit can be spread out over 2 years. I know you can designate someone a june 1rst cut before hand, but he's playing well enough that the team will atleast wait and see if they can replace him before moving on.

Mike Poucey isn't that great. He's a better fit at gurad (atleast now, maybe not down the road) than at center and I think DeCastro is a better guard than Pouncey.

DeCastro all day every day and twice on Draft day.

The guy is everything you want in a interior offensive lineman. He picked Stanford because he wanted to be challenged academically, has a mean streak is undeniable, a weight room junkie, will wear out the film room and as high character as it gets.

On the field, he does everything you need.

IMO, one of the best none tackle offensive lineman to enter the draft only behind Pouncey V1.

Alfonzo Dennard CB Neb. 5' 10" 205.. I'm tired of cb's that cant or wont tackle. this guy can cover and is physical

Newman isn't going anywhere.

I agree with an interior OL player.

If Rob Ryan leaves I think I'm putting LOLB as my #1 priority

I think we'll go back to being non dependable without Rob so we'll actually need more guys who can make a difference.

Interior OL is a bit of a luxury pick in the 1st.
