Nightwish
Epica
Dimmu Borgir

Type O Negative.
you can have the complete works of 5 music artists to play in your neverending music player, but only 5. Who do you choose?
1-4 are somewhat obvious choices for me. However, number 5 is hard.......I have to choose between Willie Nelson, George Jones, Merle Haggard, Def Leppard, Beethovan, Mozart, Jimmy Buffett, Frank Sinatra, AC/DC, or the Beach Boys.
1. The Cure (my favorite music group)
2. George Strait (my favorite country singer and solo artist)
3. The Cranberries (I needed at least one female voice, and I love their music)
4. Depeche Mode (my second favorite music group)
5. The Beach Boys (a childhood favorite, I love most of their music)
Stones
Led Zepplin
Natalie Merchant
Eagles
One of Stevie Ray, Jimi Hendrix, Beatles, Clapton, Witney Houston, Elvis, Roy Orbison, Skynard
If it was 5 songs:
Dr. Mr. Fantasy - Steve Winwood and Eric Clampton at The Crossroads Guitar Festival
Hotel California (Acoustic) - Eagles
Angie - Stones
San Andreas Fault - Natalie Merchant (really anything by her)
When the Levee Breaks - Led Leppelin
More random stuff from youtube:
I don't see any similarities.Give me a great Merchant song, X
I've seen you mention her a few times. Show me something that makes her special, as I know nothing of her other than she was (early?) 90s slow jam (or so I thought).
She isn't a PJ Harvey, is she?

PJ was never commercially successful. Just a critical-successful bombshell and jet-setter for female grunge.I don't see any similarities.
The internet tells me that any one of Natalie's "albums" sold 2x more than ALL of PJ's career sales.
I love her voice.
Letterman once said he wanted to marry her voice.
Mozart
Beethoven
Maria Callas complete works all operas
The Beatles
Elvis (rather have Roy Orbison but Elvis much greater volume with huge repertoire)

Music isn't about sales. It's about the art. Much like football isn't about Forbes, it's about winning. With all due respect my man.
No, hell no. PJ was a first, X.Definitely. There are literally millions of people better than Beyonce that sold less.
My point was that PJ was a bit a a gimmick type artist.
Rabbit Run series by John Updike? JK! Eddie Rabitt, hmm, neva' heard of him.I didn't list him, but one guy who always lifts my spirits and brings out the joyful side is eddie rabbit. I can't explain why, but whenever I hear his music, any negativity goes away, at least while he is in my ear.
