Do you think Dak is a great QB that can lead this team to a SB? That Dak is in that upper crust of QBs, the handful that can win a SB in this league?

Because most here haven't suggested he's the worst QB or just flat out terrible. I haven't. The OP hasn't. visionary didn't. We all acknowledge that Dak is decent, maybe good. But is he great? Can he take a team on a long playoff run and win a SB?

I don’t think you have to be great to win a ring. If you are asking me do I think Dak is as good as Joe Flacco, Eli Manning or Nick Foles? Yes. Y’all are missing me with you need an elite QB. It’s falling on deaf ears because for the past 20 years I can’t even get to five elite QBs that have won rings. I can only get to Brees, Brady, Mahomes and Rodgers.

I don't think either QB can do it. There is too much inconsistency in both their games and both often come up small in tough situations.

Yeah he peaked a few years ago. He is what he is.

And unfortunately he's a cap anchor for the next few years. We are basically stuck in purgatory now for at least 2-3 years until it becomes cap friendly to think about cutting him.

The bad news is that it is hard to find a QB even at Wentz or Dak’s level.

They ARE NOT consistent game changers. I think you could flip around QBs 8-16 and say the same about all of them.

And the odds of winning a SB with those guys in that 8-16ish range aren't all that great at this point. Hence my point I've made from the start. Dak is in that interchangeable range, ergo, I don't think you should expect that he can win big games for you and go on any sort of long playoff run. He's a good, not a great QB.

Dude wilts far too often in big time moments. Rodgers, once again came through for his team. Really shows the difference between truly great, and mid tier.

I have said this for years. I don't put this loss solely on Dak by any means but it's just another game where he contributed to the loss more than he contributed to a win. If you have a limited ceiling, gotta play really clean football.
