Sad to see the lack of appreciation for Dak Prescott who was on a record-setting pace before getting injured. Instead, they incorrectly associate the W-L record as a QB stat rather than a team stat and blame him for that record. This is just proof there is a portion of the fanbase that is the dumbest in the league. These same idiots still like Zeke despite all the fumbling he's done this season. Between the poor coaching and Zeke's fumbling, this team never had a chance this season. We had one bright spot... Dak playing record-setting ball and then he got injured. You unappreciative fans don't truly know what you had even when it's gone. A bunch of dummies. Jerry pay Dak when you get a chance!

How about waxing poetically for the coach of that 90's team or that 70's team and how those teams were built. We wouldn't have to worry about QB's so much.
Yes it all starts with culture. Hire a Sean McVay type and let them do the work.

Dak’s solid but his numbers were inflated by situation, the volume, and the horrid defenses we played against.

Nobody cares about his stats.

Football is a team sport and Dak has shown time and time again our success in terms of wins is much more tied to the guys around him than it is him.

Some of you did it to Romo. Some of you are doing it to Dak.
It is routinely done to good quarterbacks and not unique to Romo and Prescott alone. Far from it. Too many sports observers do not evaluate the position well and apply overall team play and coaching solely onto the quarterback.

The usual self-justification is that the quarterback being the most important position on a football team (which is true) and automatically apply the assumption to most or all team shortcomings. It is contradictory applied thinking made within the vast number of football related conversations.

I've thought franchise QBs are overpriced for a good decade. It's gotten much worse lately.

It's a market bubble. Teams that figure out how to drat and develop QBs on the cheap will be at a massive advantage. I hope we do that.

we should be doing that, draft a solid oline, defensive line let those guys play together while the WRs and RBs get rotated out, you telling me that any seasoned QB couldn’t win with that?

the funny thing is that when the team loses there is a ton of blame tossed on the QB and when we win there is heaps of praise given to the QB, yet if we believe this is a team effort then it was the team that won the game, not necessarily the QB. When the OLine was banged up a few years ago we saw Dak reduced to nothing, the same thing would happened to him this season.

If we would actually draft a DL............................

well we have a GM is too busy partying with hookers and marketing the team to be bothered with the quality of product
We pass up sooooooo many good DT prospects while focusing on LB's, CB's, WR's, and DE's. We took Jaylon over frickin' Jarron Reed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, we took the guy who would have been available in the later rounds while ignoring a talent like Jarron Reed who could have stepped onto the field and contributed from the first season.

Part of the reason QB play drops off so much in backups is probably just that *they don't get the snaps*.

And much worse for Dalton this year than for backups usually. New team. New offense. No mini camp. No real camp. No preseason games.
Come the season, snap count evaporates as the focus is on preparing the starter for games. That's usual for all backups.

The two real stinker games for Dalton - when Martin goes down early, and the next game he is out.
AZ Knight, Steele, Williams, Biadasz, McGovern
WA Erving, Steele, Williams, Biadasz, McGovern

Worst lineups of the year.
Martin >> everybody
Looney > Biadasz

6-11 in his last 17 games. That is a bright spot for sure. Have you ever considered how many more wins they would have if Dak showed up in the first half of games?

You're another of those fools that fails to recognize W-L record is a team stat and not a QB stat. 6-11 in his last 17 games indicates a bad team, not a bad QB. Fast forward to the 2020 season... Dak showed up in the first half of the Giants game and then got hurt... Cowboys still won. Since then without Dak it's been downhill.

Dak logic is simply insane at best.

Ok there Dak-Zoid where is Dak when the opposing teams score?
Why does it take him till we're down by 20+ to start moving the ball?
Why can't he beat teams with winning records and resorts to beating dog teams like the Giants and D.C. for the last 4 years?
I await the Spring to run you and all the Dak zoids out of town!!!!!:muttley:

Yet so many defend Dak by bringing up his winning record in the first 4 years so you can't have it both ways.

Yet Dak didn't show up in the 2nd half against the Rams, the 1st half against Atlanta, the 1st half against Cleveland, or the 1st half against Seattle.

On reading the title I thought it was going to be a three-and-out stop by the defense.

....and the excuse last season??? Dak led Dallas to an 8-8 record while Dallas outscored opponents 434 to 321....so last year the defense wasn't the issue but rather Dak choking in games where in the 8 losses Dallas lost by a combined 50 points.
That philly game still makes me sick..total choke job by all... couldn't even beat an eagle JV team in the biggest game of the year...sad
