You don't move on from Dak unless you have The Franchise already on the roster

Uh why? If you don't think Dak can win it all, why keep him on the roster eating up a significant % of the cap?

If you want to move on from someone, that means you know they don't have it. I'd even argue you view them as a liability. Dak leads us to the same result if we traded him without a replacement: No trophy, but we'll have more cap space.

We can spin this however you want. The bottom line is that Dak is just not the guy. It's the SOS, different year. Time to move on. I wish Dak the best. Maybe he'll be that guy somewhere else. I just don't see it happening here.
The next QB here won't be the guy either.
The reasons why we choke go much deeper than QB.

Mincing of words.
In either case it's manipulation. A McDonald's big mac commercial is both a lie and deception. Hyperbole is a lie and deception.

The intent of it doesn't matter...sometimes it's inconsequential, sometimes it's mutually accepted (like the Big Mac we KNOW does not look like that), sometimes it's brutally destructive.

Arguing about on a sports message board is fabulously irreverent.

Going back TMC, if I may get us back on track? ....he lied, deceived, and whatever else you want to call. it....to manipulate the narrative. No one here was "trying to elevate romo to god-like status". But he needed that to validate his bullying.

I was trying to be somewhat gracious and civil about "hyperbole", usually a harmless embellishment, unless taken to extreme ...see where that got me?
No, lying assumes you know intent which you have no way of knowing.

Hyperbole is common rhetoric. You are mincing words yourself trying to make a unprovable mountain out of a exaggeration.

Generally speaking playing the victim is not a good look.

nounRhetoric.
  1. obvious and intentional exaggeration.

    AKA...LYING.
Is there anything else I can help you with? But you ARE...also... intentionally diverting the conversation. You actually never denied that you "intentionally exaggerated"...which means you are not only hypocrite, but intellectually dishonest in conversations here.

hyperbole

exaggerated statements or claims not meant to be taken literally.

"he vowed revenge with oaths and hyperboles"

Now I know…you’re still confused…here’s some examples…..

Some Common Day-to-Day Examples of
Hyperbole

When she did the flips at the dance, she landed as light as a feather.

I am so hungry I could eat all the food here.

My brother said that he had a million things to do when he was actually sitting idly.

Amrita carried home a ton of papers that she had to grade before Friday.

I don't know what Burrow has done, but the Bengals have either gone to the championship game or super bowl in years Burrow wasn't injured.
They did and he did make some key throes in those runs but the defense was just as important in those runs.

While l agree with you, paying Dak $60m per year does absolutely nothing to help this team. The winning teams know when to cut bait on players and move on. Dak is not the exception. Let him test the market next year. I don't see any teams banging on his agents door unless he's willing to take a lot less.

I assure you no victims are being played.

We can call it by many things.

What's odd to me...Mr. Lumpkins...is your are hammering me about calling out something very harmful to honest discussions

But NEVER ONCE saying what TCM is doing isn't right either.

So...you have zero credibility about your fake outrage..mkay?

It doesn't matter if it's hyperbole, shade, deception...outright lying....it doesn;t matter.

NOBODY SAID ROMO NEEDS TO BE GOD LIKE.

You never said ONE thing about that lie. You are done.

All great examples!

Here's another one:

"yet you are here trying to pretend like that Lions team was good in order to make Romo look god-like."

That is both hyperbole...exaggerated! (some people ARE trying to make Romo look good to pure haters like you) .and a lie (nobody EVER said "god-like")

Who you think yer messing with? You don't really know...so....

my..."tone".

LOL....good one.

I;d say my "tone" is the truth that hurts ya. You never once said TCM lied, hyperbolied, exaggerated....or ANY of these terms you banter about so casually/

So you are good with what he's doing, but NOT good with the exact way I describe it.

But it's MY tone the "belies the narrative".

LOL. Dude....

You accused me of not knowing what it meant and YOU didn’t. Maybe the word is too “big” for you?

Burrow got to a SB and lost. He had a chance at a last ditch drive to tie the game or win it and failed. Had that been Dak he would have gotten trashed and called a choker.
