You guys do realize I think we are going to suck this year right?

Yeah, if you post on here, you darn well better have thick skin. Me? I don't give a darn how people respond to me. But I try to think things through before I post. :D

Totally agree, man. Good point.

I've learned to post in such a way that appeases both sides. I'm neither overly critical nor overly positive. Because of that, I rarely get a lot of flack my way.

It works out well. It's not hard either, just try to think as the optimist in one part of your post and then think as the pessimist. It provides a balanced look. Of course, sometimes I slip up and forget the positive angle or say something derpish and CZ puts me right back on track.

I see your point, as long as you are posting what you actually feel and not trying to appeal to the so called "big dogs" on the board.

Naw I always give my thoughts. I just give my pessimistic views and optimistic views.

My nature is to always look at the negative sides, though, simply because I don't like to be surprised in a negative way. I'd rather expect bad things and not be shocked than to expect good things and be totally let down.

Haha! I am the same way. I always say "Prepare for the worst, hope for the best" Works for me.

No, not 3 or 4 win suckitude, but I see about 7 or 8 wins TOPS. Too many holes in secondary and at linebacker and oline is thin too. BUT I've followed this team for 35 years and will root like hell for them regardless.

But after reading that Haley article, it's obvious most of this team doesn't get it....at all. It's gonna take Red a couple seasons to 'change the culture'. It doesn't happen over night, because alot of contracts don't allow for it: see T.Newman, Jenkins, etc.... So.....get ready because the games will be close this season but I don't see 9 wins or the playoffs at this time.:banghead:
THis is the easiest schedule they've had in years. If they only go .500 they need to blow this thing up completely.

Nope I didn't realise that you thought we'd suck this year. Thanks for posting this thread though to inform me of that thought. It's appreciated.

So you are saying that we will be middle of the....

our record will depend on how quickly this defense can come together

we know our offense can put up points

if by weeks 3-4 this defense has come together, we can beat anyone
if by then they are still pointing at each other indicating blown coverages, we are in trouble

I agree. I also think the key will be the play of Newman and Jenkins. If Jenkins can get back to what he showed in 09 this team could have a very good season. However as you said if guys are blowing coverage and Jenkins plays as he did last year it could be a long season.

That's thinking with your heart...

Sure it is. What's wrong with that? We are fans rooting for our team. We are emotionally invested in them.

It's not like we have to think this through and prepare ourselves for doom and gloom. Otherwise we should just refrain from watching them until they reach the Super Bowl and then root for them.

I don't mind looking at the situation and critiquing it, but to come out and say we are going to suck, two games into the preseason is a bit overstated.

Remember, our place in this whole thing is being a fan. We don't make the decisions nor do we have any influence on them. If the Cowboys win the Super Bowl or lose every game, doesn't effect our financial situation one bit. (Unless you are foolish enough to bet on these games).

I'm one of the first ones to complain when I see something wrong but at least I wait until it happens to get upset over it.

Just be a fan and don't try to over analyze yourself into a miserable year.

Expecting a superbowl sounds a bit entitled, don't you think? I'm not trying to be offensive here, so don't take it that way.

Maybe hopeful for a Superbowl?

Hopeful is a good word.

Does anyone have a link to our 2010 prediction thread - or has it gone missing?
