On second thought, I hope everyone notices the paragraph sitting under that humongous picture.
This franchise has not had that many head coaches. Tom Landry obviously. What was the reason. But I don't think we'd ever fired a head coach during the season. Maybe if we lose two more games who knows. This isn't the normal franchiseCould be right. When do you think Moore or Richard might get their opportunities?
The Wade Phillips firing established the fact Jones will fire during the season. However, I believe certain conditions must be met before Jones would pull an in-season trigger. This franchise has not had that many head coaches. Tom Landry obviously. What was the reason. Was Wade Phillips to head coach at that time. Thanks for correcting me I don't recall . I thought it was Jason that got him fired. The Wade Phillips firing established the fact Jones will fire during the season. Jason doesn't possess the mentality to be a head coach.Jason Garrett wanted to build his team exactly the way Jimmy Johnson did in the pits first. He manipulated Jerry into doing so. William Maclay also played a big part in this. The only issue I have with Jason is as motivational skills
This is my only issue with head coaching Dallas Cowboys football. What head coach with any self-respect. Would take over a football team without having total control who would put their reputation on the line like that. I believe other than a new Young startup or somebody coming up in the ranks that's already on our staff. I just don't see it happening. Not while Jerry is in charge
Ask anybody what? Yes they all want Lincoln that doesn't mean he wants to come hereYou kidding? Lincoln Riley, just ask anybody...............
Any other year I would agree with this. All of it. But...Jerry not extending Garrett after last season, even after they rallied back down the stretch, was the two inch print headline that we've been waiting for.You want him fired. That is absolutely reasonable. Garrett has had nine years to produce a Super Bowl appearance or victory.
You know Garrett will get fired due to a condition you think is reasonable. Unfortunately, both your mind and Jerry Jones' mind are wired differently.
Jerry Jones fired Jimmy Johnson, during the offseason, three months after his franchise won a second consecutive Super Bowl. In contrast, Jerry Jones has retained Jason Garrett after three consecutive .500 seasons, 2015 ( ), and watching losses it looked like even he wanted to throw up.
Again, you want Garrett fired. Do you really know the person who will do the actual firing? You know. It is the same guy who has not kicked Garrett to the curb every occasion you declared "I know THIS time Jerruh has seen enough!!!!!!!" umpteen times during the past nine years.
This is the guy who will hand Garrett his eventual pink slip:
Setting aside a few moments to finally consider what is truly going on behind those Johnnie Walker Blue Label eyes may provide a missing clue why you continually get Garrett's termination date wrong. Bonus clue: the guy seen above is not the person you see in the mirror every day. Which is a good thing. Just look at that face. Poor Gene. She partly owns a $250 million dollar yacht to muddle through that daily migraine though.
Ask anybody what? Yes they all want Lincoln that doesn't mean he wants to come here
It is highly probable Jones will not find it necessary to sell Garrett if he cans him. I think at sell job hinges on whether the team can rebound to a reasonable degree or better in a way that Jones is comfortable. After all, this is the same guy who did sell Garrett after three straight .500 seasons. Additionally, it is all about the challenge as Jones sees it inside his head that matters to him and not necessarily what the team's fans think of Jones making the effort. All things being equal, rather than firing, I’d prefer Garrett become the coach Jerry thinks he is.
If he doesn’t, I don’t see how you sell Garrett to the fan base for a tenth season.
I wasn't sure my cowboy brother. I thought so at first. I just don't know you well enough yet. Thank you for clarifyingRelax..... It's a joke.

We just need someone who can handle 2 minute field management. Other than that. I think it all comes from Individual position coaches that's the problem in my mind we don't have leadership and I can't bring this into people's headsMy only concern with firing Garrett is wondering who Jerry will see as a good replacement.
People will toss around the "hot" names, and ol' Jerry will give us someone like Marty Mornhinweg.
Well, mainly due to JJ sort of made it out that he fired Jimmy, we all know Jimmy had enough of Jerry's ego, packed his **** and walked out. But the JJ just HAD to go make out like HE FIRED that petulant little super bowl winner, cause well he just did!First of all Jerry did not fire Jimmy. I don't know why people keep repeating that.
Jones likes Moore also. Moore would not have become offensive coordinator without Jones' blessing.Any other year I would agree with this. All of it. But...Jerry not extending Garrett after last season, even after they rallied back down the stretch, was the two inch print headline that we've been waiting for.
Will he do it mid season? No, we don't have anyone to take over for him waiting in the wings. However, unless this team makes it to the super bowl, and it might take a SB win, not just getting there, then Garrett's fate is sealed.
Nobody really thinks Kellen Moore was made an OC because he was the best man for the job do they? He was a cheap fill-in until a new HC arrives and cleans house. Plus Jerry likes him and wanted to get him some experience in the role so he could put it on his resume.
He doesn't bring the motivational skills. In my opinion he can do everything else.Jason doesn't possess the mentality to be a head coach.
His entire philosophy has been "Let's try this".
If that makes you feel better. I totally believe it was Mutual.Well, mainly due to JJ sort of made it out that he fired Jimmy, we all know Jimmy had enough of Jerry's ego, packed his **** and walked out.
