I don't know how much impact the steriods will have on Merriman's productivity.

But assuming it isn't a major issue, the guy is a beast and good.

There's no reason to belittle him because we selected Ware.

They're both good players.

And so what if he only has to take on backs. He gets the sacks and sacks are important because they're drive stoppers.

No need to justify the Ware pick. He was a good pick for this team regardless of what Merriman does or accomplishes.

Jerry specifically stated that Zimmer staying is supposedly dependant upon whether Parcells is staying. If Parcells goes, he wants to give the new HC the option of bringing in his own guys.

People forget that we were ******** about the pass rush even when Ellis was healthy. I still think it's more a matter of Spears and Canty than Zimmer, but Zim has outstayed his welcome.

I'll take the pick that our front 3 isn't San Diego's in creating a push, and no other LB on the team, including Ellis, is a big force in the pass-rush

What makes you guys think that if we had Wade Phillips as our DC, Parcells would allow Pillips to run his version of 3-4 instead of Parcell's version?

It doesn't matter who we have as a DC. As long as Parcells is the HC, we will run his version of the defense.
