You want to know the REAL difference b/w DWare and Merriman?

When you have the same results for 7 years, (inconsistent pash rush, inconsistent coverage, inconsistent in causing turnovers) with what is basically an entirely new defense (filled with a LOT of high draft picks and expensive FA signings) and one constant, then you have to believe that one constant MAY be the problem.

Our defense has flashed brilliance many times, and laid turds many times. The defense is as inconsitent as Michael Vick. One week they look dominating, the next, the are running into each other like a bunch of bumbling clowns.

Either we havent picked up the right personel or we have poor coaching. I hope it's poor coaching b/c we can fix that a lot faster than if we spent the wrong picks on the last 5 drafts.

I don't know how much impact the steriods will have on Merriman's productivity.

But assuming it isn't a major issue, the guy is a beast and good.

There's no reason to belittle him because we selected Ware.

They're both good players.

And so what if he only has to take on backs. He gets the sacks and sacks are important because they're drive stoppers.

No need to justify the Ware pick. He was a good pick for this team regardless of what Merriman does or accomplishes.

that's one of the things i can never figure out about here. i'm NOT whining or complaining, but sometimes it seems things go too far in the "keeping things in order" category. i never know where my posts will be day to day or how my thoughts will be classified to the mods/board.

in the end i do know it's a thankless job and "no one" is ever 100% happy - but all the moving of things around does get confusing to me.

These are not archive forums, but some tend to treat them that way.

The quickest way to find something is to do a search for a thread or click on your own profile and click "find all posts" as long as there isn't any public threads posting about why a thread was deleted. Just PM a mod if u need some help.
