I've never had alcohol either....never understood the fascination.

Football season is good for me. I usually don't drink anything but water. During the offseason, I've been drinking Coke Zero. I really need to quit. Soda is not good for you at all.

I really want to mainly drink water.

I usually have a Yuengling or two (or three if it's a divisional game :)) and then switch to strong iced tea in my Cowboys thermal mug.

I love me some beer. But I live on the West Coast and think it is unseemly to drink in the A.M. So it is usually coffee and water. For an evening game, the beer comes out -- usually a nice strong West Coast beer maybe something from Lagunitas, Bear Republic, Medocino Brewing, or Descuttes.

Oh come on!!! I know these responses aren't gonna stand with my Cowboy faithful!! lolol

Where's all the sauced up badasses??

BTW, you all are badasses, tea or beer. Just trying to get some alcoholic responses here. :)

Eh, I'll whack down a six-pack and a bottle and a half of Jack Daniels, pre-game, just to calm my nerves...........then I get a little wired up with some Yeag and my temper starts flarin' up like a pack of hemorrhoids. You get in my way I'll row right over you. Always swingin' at the fences.

How's that?

Coffee. I usually get up right before kickoff. Haven't watched a pre-game show in years.

This weekend, for the first time in about 20 years, I had some shots of your last name. You sir, taste disgusting.

What do you guys prefer for Sunday football? It's offseason so I figured it'd be a fun topic.

I know if I'm at a game, I prefer a nice saucy cold beer. But sitting at home I enjoy a nice sloppy bottle of warm whiskey.

:beer2:

If I'm not at the game, I'm usually grilling out. That usually means cold beer. Various types depending on the mood (bass, corona, sam adams, etc). If I'm at the game...uh, that means beer also.

If it's really hot...maybe a marguarita.

However, I'm in my late 40s, so I'm over getting hammered.

It depends. If it's a 1 o'clock game, probably nothing because I don't like being tired the whole rest of the day. If it's a 4 o'clock game or a night game, it's ale, imported from England and cask or bottle conditioned.

All bets are off if I'm having people over for the game.

Game day, though, is all about eating for me and not drinking. It's a big family event, from breakfast in the morning to hitting the BBQ in the afternoon (prior to December, anyway). Home made chips and salsa, the whole 9 yards, I usually gain 10 pounds during football season.

Newcastle brown ale if it's an early game. Single malt scotch (preferably Glenmorangie) with a good cigar if it's a 4 o'clock or night game. Usually just a couple of doubles.
