They just need to establish a home field advantage. I don't care if they play Lawrence Welk as long as they win. i am concerned this will be too much of a carnival atmosphere than a place teams fear to play in.

What always got me pissed is when opposing teams fans (see Iggles) came in and took over Texas Stadium. That would not happen in Philly. I don't want to see that **** anymore at Cowboy games.
Another reason for Metal over other types of music is attitude. Intimidation, and psychological stuff all work. If a stadium is loud (Metal is loud) it affects you.

Yeah, it affects your hearing! Stop it. You dont need metal to intimidate. You need to kick your opponents and their fans in the butt. You have fans and players of all ethnic backgrounds. What may motivate you will not motivate everyone else. Some metal is ok, but not all. The music should not be the reason the place is intimidating. The fans, and the attitude of the team do it.

Do you think the Steelers need to play metal to make their fans nuts or opposing teams intimidated? No, it's the play of the defense and the attitide of the coaches. Unfortunately, we have Wade Phillips who at this point doesn't bring the " attitude "

just saying

Like I said, I am a country fan. I just know what gets stadiums rocking and Metal does. Go to Va Tech and feel your heartbeat when they come on the field. Stick with what works.

You will get your Metallica I'm sure, but when the first rap or r&b song is played, I'll think of you dropping your weights on your big toe. ;)

Agreed. Would you rather go into Baltimore hearing Metallica or 50 Cent?

The hardest rap song can't hold a candle to the half-hardest metal...it just doesn't get you pumped enough.

Agreed. I've got my rap collection, I've got a HUGE country collection going back to single side LP's when George Strait was still singing at the Crystal Chandelier in New Braunfels, I've got my classic rock, modern, alternative etc.

But when I fire up Dad's twin 300 Verados and the jetties are flat calm in Port Aransas, it's hard fast metal baby. Drowning Pool "Bodies" at full volume, jam the throttles full on, and set the water on fire man.

The only reason why "Lets go!" sounds hard is because it samples Ozzy Osbourne's "Crazy Train" lol.

That being said though, there's plenty of rap songs that can get you pumped just as much as metal. For me anyways. StraightOutta Compton by N.W.A and Natural Born Killers by Dre & Cube being the biggest for me.

Another One Bites The Dust by Queen, but it should only be placed after we're on a winning streak of some kind.

Or after beating Washington. :eek::
