Hell, if winning a Super Bowl was based on QB talent alone........ a lot of them would have several.

How likely do you believe it is that Dak wins a Super Bowl in his career (as stated in a percentage)

Based on Dak’s rookie year, I would have guessed 60/40 in favor of Dak winning a SB.

Currently, I would put Dak’s odds at winning a SB at about 8 percent. In order for that to happen the team has to carry Dak and his heavy contract to a SB win, or Dak has to catch lightning in a bottle for 4 games (like Eli Manning).

Speak your mind, but let’s keep it civil and courteous. Thanks in advance.
zero, 7 years of evidence, college tape, and predraft scouting report....how much more evidence is needed to illustrate Dakota is not the level of QB who can elevate his team or put them on his back while playing an elite opponent..sucks but its the cold hard truth

Winning and losing records are the incorrect premise for one player in this sport. The same goes one NFL player winning it all.

Every team, except rookie quarterback led teams, have a 3.125% minimum chance of winning the championship before any regular season starts. That percentage increases or decreases as the regular season progresses, flatlines for 56% of the teams by regular season's end, and fluctuates for the remaining 44% through each playoff round.

I will stick with the 2023 season. What might happen in the recent future is 'easier' to see than next year and beyond. The team may gain or lose player and/or coaching assets that are not as established and sound as in the here-and-now.

My prediction right now, before even Day 1 of the NFL Draft, for Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys winning Super Bowl LVIII? 13%. Whether my sense of the odds increase, decrease, or stays pat will depend upon what might happen between today and the final roster cutdown this summer.

Considering the NFC today, and if I were paying out the bets, I'd have to put it somewhere between 20-25%. I'm going by the state of the NFC and the Dallas Cowboys. You put that line at 10 or 20-1 and people start dumping a ton on the Cowboys, you'll be sweating it.

If Dak was a starting QB in the AFC, somewhere around 5%.

Dak Prescott will NEVER lead a team to a Super Bowl victory.

Regardless of how your team is built there will come a time when the QB has to step up and do something. Dak will find a way to fail.

I dont think they have the right HC to get to a SB.
plus dak is usually not so good in playoffs.
Nfc is weak, but 2 strong teams that dallas would have to get past are SF and Phil

I think it is low as well, in spite of having a pretty talented team behind him AND now a pretty solid defense.
decently talented. outside of a couple of players, none make me go wow. outside of a couple, most don't rank in top 10 or 15 of their positions.

Ask me after the draft. If they add some weapons on offense like some expect the percentage goes up quite a bit.

:hammer:He's obviously steadily regressed since his rookie season which is discouraging. I don't know how that happens except he's lost physical and mental confidence due to his prior injuries and/or opposing DC's have his number. At this point I think you need new QB blood to push him up or push him out.

Couple of things we are talking about odds. Not excuses.

1. Let’s suppose we build the Cowboys 90s dynasty team again. Surround Dak with a stud DT, another Parsons, DeMarco level RB, another stud rookie WR in this draft the defense plays lights out. The offense is loaded with firepower. Do you believe that Dak can find it in himself to not lose one out of four games due to his bad play? I lean towards Dak can’t be that consistent.

2. People talking about this is a team sport, yes it is. But Dak’s cap number really isn’t team friendly. His cap is interfering with building a quality team around Dak.

3. Can Dak read a defense will enough to get there?

4. Can Dak’s decision making at critical times be modified enough to get there? I don’t know, but it’s not looking good in that regard.

The same as about 25 other current NFL quarterbacks……..<10%. Dak can have a game good enough to win a ring but I question him being able to string a few in a row to get there against really good teams
That does lie at the heart of the matter doesn’t it?

In an NFC that hos zero elite QB's this team still isn't geared up for a serious run. Dak will not win a SB ever as a Cowboy because they don't build a SB winning roster.

First of all QB's dont win SB's. So your entire premise is backwards.

Teams win SB's.

Now what are the odds of Dallas winning the SB while Dak is the QB? I would agree its about a 10% chance. Not much to do with Dak, but rather Jerry's ability to build a championship team around the QB. Especially in an era with guys like Mahomes being teamed with Reid.
Tell this BS to Dan Marino.

Does the center get called on for never winning a super bowl? Do you even remember the RB 's name?

Coach Jerry brings the percentages down even more.

Just to clarify, Dak is playing in the games not just on the roster of a team that wins?

Dak leading a team to a SB win: .0068%

Dak being on a roster of a team that wins: 2.46%
