That's an outstanding list. Any one of those movies could be in my "top ten." Although I have not seen Gardens of Stone. Good stuff.

It's an older movie, but quite good... stars James Caan, DB Sweeney, Angelica Huston and James Earl Jones... it delves into the anti-war movement back then, from the point of view of soldiers...

Look for it at your video store, I'd be interested to know how you like it...

And thanks for the compliment... I ALMOST included "Glory Road" on my list, but my reasons for loving it are purely personal-- I've actually played golf with Don Haskins, who was the subject of that movie... I learned something I'd never noticed before the last time I saw it a few days ago-- Haskins actually has a cameo role, maybe 15 seconds long, in it... he plays a gas station attendant, dressed in coveralls...

6. Stalag 17
7. The Cowboys
8. Dumb & Dumber (shut up)
9. Rear Window (Hitchcock version)
10. The Godfather I

You seem to be more of a fan of the older movies, for the most part... not that there's anything wrong with that, I can still enjoy a good Bogart movie...

Hmmm, any list that includes Zulu (a young Michael Caine), Glory and Young Frankenstein can't be all bad...

But as good as Glory was, I kinda prefer Gods and Generals... it didn't get great critical review, but I was struck by the acting job of the guy who played Stonewall...

Now, Mel Brooks does comedy as well as anybody, and Young Frankenstein was a howlingly funny sendup of horror flicks... I also liked Blazing Saddles...

So many worthy flicks I would include if a top 50 list was solicited

I really liked Last Of The Mohicans, too... it's not often that great novels are turned into good movies, but they did a good job with this one...

If you liked Airplane and Stripes, I know you have a goofy side to ya... so do I...
