Not always. That simple. Not necessarily. What a lot of you forget is that even if this drives people to illegal streams, those streams have the same ads. So the sponsors don't care. They get the extra eyes anyway. YouTube is simply testing the addiction to football and if they don't get the orders they expect, they'll adjust. But they know that entertainment consumers want what they want and besides the ceremonial foot stamping they'll usually play ball for fear of being left out. Jerry knows this better than anyone.
They were a streaming service just joining the market….years ago. Now they are in the streaming world and obtained the crown jewel of sports programming aside from the super bowl.none of that was criteria lol. that’s why it wasn’t advice or an opinion. companies make concessions for consumers all the time while still turning a profit. they could have as well as they did when they offered 30 dollar lifetime subscriptions to youtubetv early on. I know why they are going this direction, they just didn’t have to. Adding qualifiers after the fact changes the discussion
that is possible, but then you wouldnt have your real local channels. If you have VPN you can change it to get out of marker content.
Agreed. My market has showed my fave ncaa and nfl games all year. I think i missed a handful of games between the two.Dallas has so many National games, if you're out of market you're paying $300 for like 4 games.
from what I saw, it is just guys running across goal line, or catching pass in the magic zone as I call it.I don't understand the hype in red zone either, who the hell wants to see that, it's a tease lol
You can change them back and forth. Thats what vpn is built for. Ip address subterfuge. To your benefit.that is possible, but then you wouldnt have your real local channels.
best thing would be to sign up like you live in dallas area zipcode, then you will get every dallas game.
Its for geeks thay want the camera angle that fer sure proves their opinion.I don't understand the hype in red zone either, who the hell wants to see that, it's a tease lol
yeah and there is no telling how much nfl is charging them for it, or how much they paid or will pay. They were a streaming service just joining the market….years ago. Now they are in the streaming world and obtained the crown jewel of sports programming aside from the super bowl.
Which brings me back to my original point of being surprised that anyone is surprised that these are the price points. Not that I agree with it but I expect it when they feel they are bringing something like Sunday ticket to the table.
as I said it is possible, but how many people here do you think know how to do that or care to do that on regular basis. You can change them back and forth. Thats what vpn is built for. Ip address subterfuge. To your benefit.
Its not a new mysterious dark web technology sheeshas I said it is possible, but how many people here do you think know how to do that or care to do that on regular basis.
My guess would be to sign in on regular ip for you local channels and then sign in on vpn for out of market locals, but since I havent done
it , not sure it would work, as it would depend on YT security, and you would be using same pw and login for 2 different ip's.
This is the truth.Dallas has so many National games, if you're out of market you're paying $300 for like 4 games.
Yeah, not sure why people were expecting price breaks on something the public has already demonstrated they're very willing to pay for. If it's like some people here are saying, that they can switch to YTTV from cable/satellite, save money that way, AND pay for Sunday Ticket with some of the savings, well that's what a lot of math-minded folks will do. Perhaps these are the people YTTV is after because they get monthly bank beyond just football season. Steady revenue is the name of the game. They were a streaming service just joining the market….years ago. same reason directv offered it. often and regularly. have you ever met a consumer?Yeah, not sure why people were expecting price breaks on something the public has already demonstrated they're very willing to pay for. Red Zone is the best. When the Cowboys aren't on, our TV is always on that channel.Red Zone doesn't have ads, which is the only channel that interests me. No red zone only, no sale for me.
You can follow every game and see every score. All at the same time. Better than watching whatever Network TV decides they want to show me.redzone imo is the dumbest channel ever
You get limited zip code changes with Hulu. 3 per year so that would nullify things pretty quick. You can change them back and forth. Thats what vpn is built for. Ip address subterfuge. To your benefit.
