Zay Jones visiting Cowboys

read the article. Unfortunately, hes dealing with nagging injuries which caused him to miss games. He'd be a gamble at this point, but if he pans out, might be our 2nd best wr behind Ceedee. When he's healthy, he's really decent.
That could be a really good thing for the Cowboys though. He's not 23 years old anymore so its reasonable to expect him to get banged up more, but with Lamb and Cooks on the roster he wont need to be a 1000 snap guy. Of course that may not be as appealing to a guy looking for one last big money grab before his career is over though.

Why are we going to block the route for Tolbert and Flournay? Why did you draft them and then?
Tolbert has been on the roster the past 2 seasons. The only one who has held him back is himself.

Flournoy is a rookie. He hasn't even touched the field and most likely won't hardly if at all. Makes sense to bring in Zay Jones, give him a physical, work him out and see if something can be worked out if the Cowboys like what they see for short term relief.

No Oh Zay can you see bit?

Every Dallas fan knows how this goes. They get excited to sign a player, they drag it out a few days. He ends up signing with Arizona for a few bucks more all for Stephen to say “he was out of our price range of $1.2 million”

People in here told me Tolbert is a good wr3! Hahahaha. This guy is way better than Tolbert
What are you basing that on?
I am watching a catch and fall down player in Jones.

I wouldn't mind adding him to compete but he is not "way better" than Tolbert.

looks like he has had some problems with stone hand syndrome.

He's catched and fallen down for longer than Tolbert's done it. I'd prefer an experienced catch and fall down guy, thank you very much.

Lololol

Can we NOT sign him, bring in Calaisa Campbell, he's a vet and probably doesn't want to do camps, at least get a low key deal done that he'll be a Cowboy

Being drafted doesn't automatically mean a player is ready to play a significant role, and in fact there is no guarantee they ever will.

There aren't even guarantees with 1st round picks, and Tolbert was a 3rd rounder & Flournay was a 6th rounder.

Besides, for all we know Tolbert would end up the 3rd WR anyway with Jones as the 4th. Having strong depth is not a bad thing.

Tolbert can't feel good about this turn of events. Just when he may have begun to feel some certainty that he'd turned the corner from the disappointment of his rookie season, he may be having to earn the WR3 job after all.

Bigger picture, I wonder if this would end up being a multi-year contract... an attempt to buy low, not just for this season, but for at least two.
